I’m working on a project that will have a ruby on rails web app that will be hosted on subdomain.example.com

The project will also include a wordpress site on example.com for the blog, about page, marketing and promotions stuff, etc

I will be managing the wordpress site. And I’m comfortable using Enfold from another project.

In particular I like the Avia Layout Builder. I’d like to be able to use Avia to build the new site since it needs to get done quick and I’m familiar with it.

BUT for this new project we already have wireframe designs drawn up by a designer and the html of the Rails app is already coded and I’m not sure if Enfold will be a good fit with the established design.

So does it make sense to have a custom theme made using en existing theme like Enfold as a starting point? Or if I’d be better off getting the custom theme built with a blank slate?

    Thanks in advance for thoughts!

    Hi tjcoffey4,

It’s very difficult to say, it all depends on the design I guess. If it only requires some minor CSS changes I would go with Enfold, but if the design is very different from anything you can achieve with Enfold then I would go with a boiler plate theme.

    Thanks,
    Rikard
