I have been having this issue across a couple of my websites but the latest one has been the worst. When I publish or update a page some of the previous content is erased and then I have to restore an older version of that page and keep trying again over and over. This happens on all browser types, different computers and different ISP’s. Can anyone tell me what could be causing this as it is making using this theme very hard.
January 27, 2016 at 2:24 am #572497Hey joshuatolento!
Is it only happening on a certain page? If so then try deleting the page and recreate it. It could be some of your content in the page causing the issue.
Make sure your using the latest version of Enfold, 3.4.7, and make sure to deactivate all plugins while testing.

ElliottJanuary 27, 2016 at 3:19 am #572526It happens on all pages at random times but it is happening predominately on the home page on almost every update. The latest version of enfold is running and there are no plugins installed or activated while doing this. I thought maybe it was the full width slider as it has 15 images in it but if I take it out it still does the same thing.
January 28, 2016 at 4:09 am #573456Hi!
Try turning on WordPress debugging and check your sever error logs to see if there is any useful info in there.
Cheers!
ElliottJanuary 30, 2016 at 12:45 am #574845I did not have any luck with that. This is happens across 4 websites and it is really annoying. I turned off all plugins and still no improvement. Have anyone else experienced this? It only happens on the Enfold theme and when using the page builder. It does not happen on other themes or if I use the default editor.
January 30, 2016 at 1:41 am #574849I called Godaddy support and they turned Debugging on and found no errors.
We made sure the PHP memory limits were set to the max along with execution time in the INI file only with wp-config.
This seems to be an issue with The Avia Layout Builder.
I am running WordPress 4.4 with the latest version of Enfold and it seems like once the page has a few rows of content boxes that is when it starts to erase content on update. It does this on every other update. If I update and the content is erased, I add it back manually and update again and then it saves just fine. But them on my next update it will delete it out again.
Please help me find out what is causing this because it is making it very hard to use this theme.
January 30, 2016 at 9:41 pm #575095CAUSE FOUND! – Admins Please Read.
Issue found on 3.3.2 & 3.4.7For the past few months I have been having the issue of content being deleted when publishing/updating a page and I just now found the element that is causing it. The “Special Heading” element was on all pages that I was having the issue with. Regardless of whether or not I used tags or not, if I use that element then all hell breaks loose and my page content is deleted on every other page update. At this current time only everything under the Special Heading is deleted but before it was completely random.
How I discovered this: When having the Special Heading on my page I began just adding/moving and removing content and then updating the page. Content is deleted almost every other time I click “update”. When I remove all “special headings” I began adding/moving content and updating the page every 30 seconds. I updated the page 50 times with absolutely no loss in any content. Once I added the special heading back into the page content was back to being deleted on every other page upload.
Instead of using the special heading I just use a text box now with <h1>, <h2> etc tags to make my headings and I no longer have any issues at all.

John TorvikAugust 19, 2017 at 8:08 pm #841392Hi, I am still facing the same issue. Content getting deleted on updating. Is there any chat support available ? Need help on few other issues also. Please mail me.
August 19, 2017 at 8:40 pm #841406As per suggestion from Mr. Joshuatolento regarding “Special Heading”, I have decided to use text block instead of SH.
I have used the code mentioned below.
<h1 style=”color: #ffffff; text-align: center; font-size: 70px; text-shadow: 0px 0px 3px #020307, -1px -1px #000, 1px 1px #000;”>Title </h1>
Contents are still getting deleted.
This is pathetic.
No issues while using “<b>” and” <h1>” alone.

RikardSeptember 25, 2018 at 6:35 am #1014011Make sure that you are running the updated version of this theme. Often when I had this problem I uninstalled WordPress and re-installed it along with re-installing the theme and the problem went away. I have noticed that if you have a poor internet connect when installing the theme that it does cause this issue to happen more often.

If nothing else works you HAVE TO delete the install and re-install WordPress and the theme. There is no other option.

You can open a new thread here: https://kriesi.at/support/forum/enfold/#new-post
There is a big blue button on the top of every sub forum reading Can’t find a solution to your problem? Open a new thread, you can try clicking that if you don’t want to use the link I posted.
