how to add this to a child theme

Hello, I trying to follow the instructions from https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-to-add-advanced-layout-manager-to-blog-posts/?login_error=invalid_user# but I don’t know to do this in a child theme. Could you please help me with the right steps and are those all the same for editing the child theme files other then the functions.php en style.css

Hi!

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of Enfold which is currently 3.4.7 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. You do not need to use custom code now to use ALB on posts. You can simply switch to Advanced Layout Builder with a single button :)
