    Hello,

    We have a challenge creating a masonry layout with redirection option. We are using Masonry Gallery feature in Enfold theme.
    The problem that we have is seeing spare white space that is displayed on the sides of the image in the masonry. We want to see only chosen images without white spaces on the sides of the image. You can see a specific example here: http://pingar.com/homepage2/ .

    Regards,
    Simona

    Hey simagald!

    Thank you for using Enfold

    Did you set the Masonry > “Gap between elements” settings to “No Gap”?

    UPDATE: It is set to 1px gap. Please try the “no gap” option.

    Regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

    Yes we did. The gap disappears between the images as it is supposed to, but the space between the gap an image doesn’t.

    Hi!

    It seems like it is still set to 1px. Please flush cache and refresh your page a few times. If that too does not help, please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab

    .av-1px-gap.av-flex-size .av-masonry-entry .av-inner-masonry {
        margin: 0 !important;
    }

    Best regards,

    Hi Yigit,

    Unfortunately, it didn’t solve the problem. How can I attach the print screens to this chat?

    Hi Yigit,

    We have an URGENT problem. I have updated general styling and homepage, but half an hour later all the changes were deleted and the website was reset to the default mode, without any links, CSS settings, google tracking code or even logo. I have contacted our server provider and he replied “It appears there is a fatal error happening which may be the culprit of things not displaying correctly: www/wp-content/themes/enfold/index.php . If that is addressed, it may correct the styling issues. If not, you’ll need to restore to the latest backup and it doesn’t appear there was one made around the time of the updates.”

    Please help me a asap.

    Hello!

    That’s strange, unfortunately from our side we can’t really do much but advice, if you (or your server provider) have a stable backup i’d suggest to restore it first and then check what was the actual ‘fatal error’ in the logs.

    Regards,
    Josue

    Hi Josue,

    This is information that I got from our server provider

    “As for the fatal error, on line 9 of the theme’s index. It appears that my paste didn’t have the full error. Apologies.
    PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /www/wp-content/themes/enfold/index.php on line 9
    It doesn’t appear to consistently being logged but errors like these can lead to odd behavior across a site.”

    Simona

    Hm, do you have the timestamp of that log? did it happen exactly at the moment the website went down? i’m unsure if that’s the real culprit of the issue because those type of error are quite common, normally generated by search engine robots who crawl all accesible URLs in your site, in this case they loaded the theme files directly (index.php), as it wasn’t on a WP environment, get_header was not available, hence the error.

    Hello,

    Thanks everybody. Everything seems to be working fine.

    I need the last piece of advice. In our homepage of http://www.pingar.com we use a video as a background. The problem is when the screen is shrunk in width, there is an additional space added above and below the video. It messes up the design. How can we fix it?

    the second challenge is the upload time. The video takes quite bit of time to load. Until it is loaded, the black background it displayed. Is there any way we can improve the upload time or change the background color that is shown before the video starts palying?

    Regards,
    Simona

    Hey!

    Check it now, you needed to set 10:9 as the aspect ratio.

    Hey Master of Websites :)

    Thank you very much! Video looks great! Is there something we can do about the loading time? Currently, it takes ~4 seconds for the video to play. Is there a way to decrease the upload time?

    Hm, that didn’t occur when i checked the site, perhaps it has something to do with your current speed, have you tried it on another network?

    Hi Josue,

    I tested it on two additional networks, but I had the same results. Both networks had great connection.

    Hello,

    Have you tried disabling all third-party plugins to see if it gets fixed?

    Regards,
    Josue
