I have posted several times below about having lost my entire website – please could someone respond? Every other post seems to be getting a response, but mine has none.
January 9, 2016 at 12:57 pm #562414By the way, I am aware that the problem I am noting is not just mine: it’s clearly what also happened to raisonbrands below. The thing is, I have removed the code, as that person did, and it hasn’t worked. If you put in my site name now, you simply get a blank page (or, in Chrome, a note that the server is blocked). I do still have the functions.php page on my screen (which is how I deleted the code and updated the file) but I am not sure that when I pressed “update file” the information actually went through. There is no point my trying to give you access to my site, as I cannot access the dashboard.
I would greatly appreciate help. I have three days to get this project live and am losing a lot of time.
January 9, 2016 at 1:01 pm #562415I am not sure how to remove code via FTP, so if you could let me know, I would be grateful.
January 9, 2016 at 2:13 pm #562425To clarify again, I’ve gone into FTP, but can’t seem to find the code. Would really, really appreciate help.
January 10, 2016 at 6:10 am #562614Hi,
Please download a fresh copy of the theme from your Themeforest account and replace your current function.php with the fresh version. If you can’t work it out then send us necessary login details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Note that opening three separate threads for the same problem will not render in you getting help quicker and it will be confusing for both you and the moderators trying to help you. We help everyone on a first come first serve basis.
Thanks,
RikardJanuary 10, 2016 at 5:49 pm #562754Thank you for your response. I’m sorry to have caused bother. I couldn’t work out how administrators chose which to answer, as some seemed (which may have not been the case) to get answered immediately, so I thought I had done something wrong and didn’t know what I was doing wrong. It is (in case you hadn’t guessed) my first time asking for support. I will not open multiple threads in future.
I have done as suggested and all is now well. Thank you for your help and, again, apologies for the bother.
