Yes I agree, normally this should work, in normal circutsamces. However that is the point I am a making. The custom link in the portfolio items specifies for you to put in the link and prompts you …….with http://….. to allow you to enter int the http://www.yourdomain@.co.uk .
I have tried all sorts but cant get the custom link to open in a new page. See http://www.psweb-design.com/our-website-design-work/. Here the custom links needs to be defined against any of the thumbnails against the section marked “A Selection of Our Work”. so when a user click onto the thumbnail it opens up a new page onto the associated website. I just can get or understand what I should enter here to get it to work and open in a new page as the normal protocol does not work.
I have enclosed wp logon details

If I understand right, working with some JQuery would help you fix that issue?
Opening a link, to a new window, when have a certain CSS class?
Best regards,

January 13, 2016 at 10:20 am #564472Hi!
I think you can put your custom jquery code inside here: http://screencast.com/t/4X7FSZ7ipS
If you need help to build your custom code you would need to hire a freelance developer for this job.Cheers!
AndyJanuary 13, 2016 at 12:12 pm #564571Hey!
This requires adding jQuery code in functions.php if you are not comfortable the easier way would be to simply us a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/open-external-links-in-a-new-window/
Best regards,
