Hello,
After backing up my client’s files and database and updating to WP 4.4, I saw that they were a couple of versions behind the Enfold template.
I tried various things to update the template, going so far as deleting the template in Word Press and uploading the latest zip file but it didn’t work (doesn’t even show up under the Appearances / Themes).
Not sure why this is happening. I have maintenance mode up so viewers can’t see the mess that is the website. Can you help? Very frustrated.
December 27, 2015 at 2:28 am #557528Hey vblaes!
It looks like you currently have 3.3.1 installed. Go ahead and completely delete Enfold from your WordPress theme directory before downloading + uploading a fresh copy from themeforest. This will ensure all of the files are up to date.

ElliottDecember 28, 2015 at 3:52 pm #557731Thank you for your reply. I need to see if I can get some assistance from Godaddy as I tried connecting using Filezilla and it’s not working correctly (will not connect, says the connection is not secure, etc.). Very frustrating.
I did try uploading the file using the File Manager (they have Linux CPanel Hosting I believe) but it didn’t work correctly). I think there might have been a couple of versions of the theme uploaded in the files already.
Are there plans to make it possible for automatic updates to the theme?
Thank you.
December 28, 2015 at 4:43 pm #557750Hi!
You can insert your username and API key in Enfold theme options to receive auto-updates – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Cheers!
YigitDecember 28, 2015 at 4:47 pm #557753Will this allow me to click and automatically update (like updating plugins)? Thanks. Valarie
December 28, 2015 at 4:53 pm #557756Hey!
Yes, if there is an update available you can update from WordPress dashboard.
Please try this plugin to clear WordPress transients if you do not receive auto updates and you are sure that your API key is correct: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.
Cheers!
YigitDecember 28, 2015 at 4:55 pm #557759Thank you for your help. Stand by…
December 28, 2015 at 5:03 pm #557761Ok, so I did everything you instructed and it says the theme is up-to-date…at 3.3.1, but I thought there is another update available?
December 28, 2015 at 5:07 pm #557763Hi!
The latest version is 3.4.7. Please use the plugin i suggested above and clear transients and try again
Best regards,
YigitDecember 28, 2015 at 5:23 pm #557774I tried it twice and cleared the transients. Do I also need to clear the cache? Frustrating.
