Hi,
Can you help me with the video I am trying to add?
It works in safari, but not in internet explorer, chrome or firefox.
It is an mp4 file. I have added it via the video element in the page builder.
Hope to hear from you!
Have a nice day!

Hi there,
Can you please help me with this?
Hope to hear from you :-)

Hi,
Could you try hosting your video with a service like Youtube or Vimeo to see if that works better?
Thanks,
Rikard
Yes, strange, video’s from those services do work.
I prefer not to host my video on youtube/vimeo, but directly in my website.
Is there an option to fix this?
maaike
Hi,
Ok, not sure why you would prefer that? From a user and performance perspective it works much better hosting it with a service so I would suggest you do it that way.
Best regards,
Rikard
I would prefer not to use those services because of the links to more video’s after this one is finished…
anyway… is it possible to fix it?

Hey!
Browsers tend to be very specific with codecs on an MP4 container video format so a specific video with a particular codec might not work on all browsers. Using a third party host such as youtube or vimeo will ensure that the video is supported on most browsers. If you really want to host your own video, try to use the following software and website to transcode the video:
https://handbrake.fr/
https://html5backgroundvideos.com/converter/?job=To0zm9
Note that NOT all browsers support mp4 video format: http://blog.zencoder.com/2013/09/13/what-formats-do-i-need-for-html5-video/

Ismael
Thanks Ismael,
I will talk about this with my client to see which option will fit best :-)
Have a nice day!

Hi!
Great! Let him know about the advantages of embedding compare to self-hosted videos. https://www.wp101.com/10-reasons-why-you-should-never-host-your-own-videos/
