hi
im looking at building an accomodation site with envato. ts a family accommodation site. it will list the top 12 properties in 8 categories (hotels, cottages etc) with detailed breakdowns.
where i am after help is on the following:
– which theme i should use to do this – seo is key to the project success so after something fast – been looking at real estate templates (though concerned about their seo effectiveness) and more recently the like of cr3ativ, divi and avada. To be honest going mad with too many options and biased/affiliate reviews out there!
– i am thinking that each property could be a blog post (assuming we can customise the post extensively to show photo gallery, google map etc) and they would be assigned to a category (hotel etc) with additional tags available on a category list page if users wanted to filter it down (creche, near beach etc). I am thinking this may be faster than doing everything through a real estate database. where i need help though is can we customise the category page so it shows more than just a snippet of the blog but key details, images and various icons.do you help with this or is it doable?>
December 10, 2015 at 9:48 pm #550728Hey neil henderson!
Enfold is our most popular theme and is the one we update most regularly. You can get a list of our demos here, http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-overview/, to see how flexible it is.
Yes, it sounds like a regular blog post or portfolio post would work. We do not have any advanced filtering like how your wanting though. I suppose you could try the Woocommerce plugin out which lets you create attributes and filter through them. There may be more plugins out there that let you do this but I do not know of any that I can recommend.
For SEO we recommend the WordPress SEO plugin. There is an issue where the plugin does not see the content in the layout builder but it’s just a cosmetic flaw and does not effect your actual SEO. The search engines can read it just fine.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

ElliottDecember 11, 2015 at 5:00 pm #551192neil hendersonGuestthanks – how about customising the actual category layout pages – is that possible?
December 11, 2015 at 7:48 pm #551255Hi!
Yes, they can be customised to a certain extend via Theme Options, they can’t be built using the Avia Layout Builder though.
Cheers!
JosueDecember 14, 2015 at 10:51 am #552073neil hendersonGuestthanks – when you say a certain extent could i achieve something like this – http://realhomes.inspirythemes.biz/listing/
also do you offer customisation services?
thanks
neilDecember 14, 2015 at 12:20 pm #552126Hello!
It could be possible but not with the theme tools, it would need to be coded in a child theme version of the archive.php template.
Regarding services, we don’t but we do recommend a trusty third-party provider here.

YigitJanuary 22, 2016 at 9:38 pm #570344neil hendersonGuesthi – just following up on this as about to purchase but have a last few questions:
– can you add scheme markup?
– can you switch certain elements off to improve page speed loading (sliders etc)
– can you have some elements which do/don’t display on mobile???
– are any of your themes significantly faster or better for seo than others?
thanks
neilJanuary 24, 2016 at 4:22 am #570679Hi!
– Scheme markup is built-in.
– You can disable LayerSlider – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/deactivate-the-layerslider-plugin/
– Yes, you can set a custom class to each element and make it so it doesn’t show / show on mobile / desktop with CSS.
– Hm i don’t think so, Enfold is the most newest so it’s better optimized overall.Cheers!
JosueJanuary 24, 2016 at 8:56 am #570722neil hendersonGuestThanks – you me tion schema mark up is built in – how easy is it to add more for specific fields – do I need to use a plugin?
January 24, 2016 at 10:10 am #570729Hey!
What do you mean by more specific fields? Which exactly you want to add? Do you have enough knowledge, because adding those that are not needed, might end to not good results.

– is it easy to set up so top menu doesnt display when scrolling down
– i like the additional left hand nav that appears on the faq demo page (about us, blank pages etc) but where does this appear on a mobile device as cant find it when viewing???
– can you set whether mega many sub options are autoexpanded on a mobile device
– i need to create embeded maps with slightly more advanced features (so hover over to display a property graphic on a few points) – does your map feature do this or will it require a plug in?
– i really like the gallery next to the text – SOME ENFOLD CORE FEATURES
but is it easy to add a visible description on the main image of this and also a facebook share etc???
– lastly on the transparent menu homepage there are some icons at the bottom – is that an easy feature to replicate on the header graphic?thanks in advance
neilFebruary 10, 2016 at 12:47 pm #581055Hi!
I think we might be able to help you out with some of your request. But as it sounds as you need a lot of work to be done we recommend to hire a freelance developer for this job: http://kriesi.at/contact/customization

February 14, 2016 at 9:25 am #582890Hi!
We can help you with the following:
– is it easy to set up so top menu doesnt display when scrolling down
A: We can do this via CSS.– i like the additional left hand nav that appears on the faq demo page (about us, blank pages etc) but where does this appear on a mobile device as cant find it when viewing???
A: Enable the sidebar for mobile in the theme options > sidebar settings.– i need to create embeded maps with slightly more advanced features (so hover over to display a property graphic on a few points) – does your map feature do this or will it require a plug in?
A: You might need a third party plugin for this.– lastly on the transparent menu homepage there are some icons at the bottom – is that an easy feature to replicate on the header graphic?
A: Not sure what you mean by the “vheader graphic”.Cheers!
IsmaelFebruary 14, 2016 at 9:53 pm #583013neil hendersonGuestThanks – with regard to header graphic comment – the large PIC of the woman – is it easy to overlay icons as you’ve done further down on the page

Also can you add mega menus like thishttp://www.visitswanseabay.com/ and can you have different menus on homepage and internal pages ?
This will probably require a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/zen-menu-logic/

IsmaelFebruary 20, 2016 at 10:31 am #586425neil hendersonGuestThanks – if I have same menu on all pages can I use enfold to create one that looks like the link example I gave?
February 22, 2016 at 3:29 pm #587196Hey!
There are a lot of links in this ticket not sure which link are you referring to.
You can create anything that is visible in all our demos here http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-overview/ without any coding knowledge.
If you need to customise the existing demo look to suit your design we can provide you with custom css for small customizations that don’t take much time.
We recommend to hire a freelancer to do any customization that takes a lot of time.
Hope this helps :)

Vinay KashyapFebruary 22, 2016 at 4:51 pm #587270neil hendersonGuestthanks, sorry its this menu style i want to recreate – http://www.visitswanseabay.com/ – is that possible?
February 23, 2016 at 3:48 pm #587751Hi!
You can create a similar mega menu with Enfold but to do exactly like that one you might have to do some customisation.
Please take a look at our documentation here http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/setting-up-your-mega-menu/
