Is there a shortcode or code I can add to a text box widget to display my social icons in the footer? I want to display the same ones I have in the header. Thanks.
December 8, 2015 at 11:49 pm #549315Hi krakers2015!
You can go to Enfold theme options > Footer and choose to display them in socket section. If you would like to place them inside a widget area in footer, please create a temporary admin login and post it here privately
Best regards,
YigitDecember 9, 2015 at 1:43 am #549368Yes I would like to add them to a widget in the footer section. Below is a temporary admin login, thanks.

December 9, 2015 at 2:01 am #549377Hey!
You can add following code to Quick CSS and adjust as needed
.widget .social_bookmarks li a { font-size: 20px; }
Best regards,
YigitDecember 9, 2015 at 2:07 am #549380Perfect! Thank you so much for the quick help!
December 9, 2015 at 2:30 am #549387One more thing, I am trying to center the logos in the footer column, how do I do that? I was able to figure out how to center everything else but the social logos.
December 9, 2015 at 7:57 am #549537I’m not sure what has happened but I tried to do some styling changes and I think I screwed it all up… Now the logos aren’t rendering properly and my button above the footer is off the screen. The services button above the footer used to be underneath the writing on mobile but not anymore. I want to center all contents in the footer and socket and make the mailchimp subscribe form section smaller (right now it spans too long and looks funny). Also, i noticed a new problem when I go to edit a mailchimp layout element it says no mailchimp API found. It seems to keep stripping it out after I put it back in. I am not sure why everything is all messed up now? I will post some links to what I’m talking about below.
December 9, 2015 at 1:11 pm #549656Hi!
Please go to Enfold theme options > Newsletter tab and check your API key. It gives “Could not connect to Mailchimp with this API Key. Please try again with a different key” error.
Please make sure to close your media queries correctly – http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_mediaquery.asp. There was a missing closing curly bracket in your code. Also, please point out the logos that you would like to center :)
Best regards,
YigitDecember 9, 2015 at 5:50 pm #549907I generated a new API and it keeps doing the same thing…
I removed all quick CSS and it didn’t fix the issue with my service button above the footer. The weird thing is, is that it is only a problem on the homepage. The button is in the right place on other pages. I would like to center the social media logos in the footer as well as shorten the length of my mailchimp subscribe section (I created a shortcode and placed it in a text widget). Also, the social media buttons do not highlight a color anymore, they just get underlined when I hover over them (again this only seems to be a problem on my homepage).
December 11, 2015 at 7:06 am #550872I have determined the masonry inserted on the homepage is causing the problems. Why would this be causing a problem? I want to keep it there. removing it didn’t appear to fix my mailchimp problem.
December 12, 2015 at 6:08 am #551390I will start new threads about my other problems but how can I center the social icons you placed in my footer widget?
December 16, 2015 at 3:01 am #553417Hi!
The social icons are center aligned when I checked the site. Did you figure it out? For the mailchimp issue, please create a new thread. Thank you.
Cheers!
IsmaelDecember 30, 2015 at 10:00 pm #558577I cannot bet the the Mail Chimp API to work in the Enfold Newsletter. It says that it sees it and displays my list however when I seek to add it to a post via the avia layout builder it says I need to put in a “valid Mailchimp API”. Then when I return to the Newsletter section it says the API isn’t valid even though it already validated it.
January 4, 2016 at 8:21 pm #559449Hi!
@fbccabool
You are using an old version of the theme, so please upgrade to Enfold 3.4.7 and let us know if you still need help afterwards. try to deactivate all plugins, to check if one is causing this issue and let us know about your results. If that does not help send us admin access, so we can take a deeper look into it. Are we allowed to deactivate all your plugins temporarily by ourselves as well for testing purposes?Cheers!
