    Hi,

    On my Contact page, I have a Contact Form.

    The form does not retain any of the changes I make to it.

    I wish to eliminate the words “Send us mail” from the Form Title, as well as change the Default Colors from ‘Default’ to ‘Dark Transparent’.

    Whilst I am able to Save these changes (and have the page successfully updated with the new settings), if you navigate away from the Edit Page and return to it, the updated settings are lost and the page reverts to the old settings.

    Please let me know how this can be stopped and corrected.

    Thanks.

    Hey eviang,

    Could you try to delete the element, save the page, and then recreate the element again to see if that helps please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

    I did what you recommended however the problem remained.

    Hi,

    Ok, please try to activate debug mode in order to display shortcodes: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/, then copy/paste the shortcode to a new page to see if that helps.

    Thanks,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

    I am unfortunately not as technical as I wish I were. I have looked at the documentation and it talks about adding to child theme functions.php

    I am not familiar with what this means or how to do that.

    Could you please do that using the temporary admin login details I provided and I will pick things up from there?

    Thank you.

    Hi!

    I am sorry, but that is outside our support scope. As we can offer support, for as long as needed, we can not pop in and do the modifications, create the child theme etc.

    You can contact one of our Customization Contractors, who will help you out with the process.
    http://kriesi.at/contact/customization

    Let us know if we could do anything else, regarding our theme

    We will, although, help you out as much as possible with anything else.

    Best regards,
    Basilis

    Hi,

    I have activated debug mode in order to display shortcodes and can see all of the code on the page. I have also copied this code to a new test page and it simply displays the exact same thing that it displayed on the primary page with the problem.

    I did a Ctrl+F to try find the text “Send us mail” in the code, however it could not be found. I also could not see anything in the code that set the display to ‘Dark Transparent’.

    Please advise how I am able to correct this error.

    Thanks.

    Hey!

    I tried logging with the access you provided in your first post but that doesn’t seems to be working at the moment, can you please check it?

    Cheers!

    Please use the updated login details below.

    Thanks.

    Hey!

    Do you have some sort of server-side email protection functionality running (or a plugin)? it seems something is replacing the address set in the Form with a email protection code and that ends up messing the whole element.

    Best regards,
    Josue

    Hi Josue,

    I am using the CDN Cloudflare, which I believe hides the email address to prevent spam, as well as assists the website’s page load time with their distribution of global host servers.

    I would be reluctant to stop using this, and also surprised if the Contact Form were not compatible was such a service as I imagine this is fairly common.

    If this is the issue, can you recommend a work-around?

    Thanks.

    Hey!

    I’m not familiar with that service, but the solution is pretty simple, make it so it doesn’t run in the backend, perhaps CloudFlare support can provide a better insight.

    Josue

    Hi Josue,

    I received this reply for the CloudFlare Support:

    =============

    Hi,

    I retrieved the HTML code for /contact/ page from CloudFlare and also directly from the origin server. I am not seeing any difference in the content.

    $ curl -s padlifter.com/contact/ > cf.html
    $ curl -s –resolve padlifter.com:80:184.168.47.225 padlifter.com/contact/ > direct.html
    $ diff cf.html direct.html
    Are you able to share the portion of HTML code that is being modified by CloudFlare?

    =============

    Could you please tell me the portion of HTML code they are asking for?

    Thanks,
    Evian

    Hey!

    Thing is, the problem does not occur in the front-end, they would need to check it from the back-end, although i’m no longer noting the issue, did you disable CloudFlare email protection?

    Regards,
    Josue

    #551227

    I’ll let them know that.
    I haven’t disabled CloudFlare email protection.
    I want to confirm that this is what is causing the problem and even then I am not sure that I want to disable it as it is an important service.

    #551246

    Can you still reproduce the initial issue? seems it got fixed somehow.

    Cheers!
    Josue

    #551247

    Ha! I never know whether to be happy or concerned when these problems go away without having actually done anything.

    Anyways, looks like it’s all good for now. Thanks!

    Great, to let us through this thread know if it comes back :)

    Regards,
    Josue
