Hi Kriesi
on the page below, I have a video at the bottom which is in a color section background. It seems to have a dark transparent overlay, and I can’t find where it’s coming from. I don’t have the overlay option checked. Can you help with this?
thanks
NancyDecember 3, 2015 at 5:31 am #546237Hi Nancy,
Did you check the Section Background Overlay tab to see if something is applied from there? Send us a temporary login if you should have any further problems.
Best regards,
RikardDecember 3, 2015 at 9:47 am #546310yes, I have checked and changed that option many times with no change.
login below
thanks!I have a couple other questions on the same site:
On this page: I am seeing an issue with the feature image slider – the captions do not center if the slider is less than full screen size (here it’s 3/5 page) and get cut off. Can you see what is causing this?On the front page the video background starts with a flicker of a screen shot from the video before it loads – is there a way to avoid that and have it start from black?
thanks again

December 5, 2015 at 4:51 am #547328Hey!
I can’t see the video in the frontpage because it is private. The overlay container is present which signifies that it is enabled in the color section options. Please edit the color section then check the Section Background Overlay panel.

IsmaelDecember 5, 2015 at 12:43 pm #547423I changed the settings on the front video – the video i was asking about that has a strange overlay is at the bottom of this page: and the background overlay is not activated.
can you check again?
I am also having a problem with this site not being responsive on ipads – I have the option checked on the layout settings, but it’s not resizing.
??
thanks

December 8, 2015 at 4:29 pm #548823Hey!
hm … try to use this code in Quick CSS field:
#top .av-video-slide.av-video-service-youtube .avia-slide-wrap { background: none; }

AndyDecember 8, 2015 at 8:28 pm #549209Hi
That code put a white overlay on all the videos. I have taken it out again.
I don’t see why I need to code it – if you look at the page both the videos are the same, one is a background and one a video element.
thanks

December 14, 2015 at 4:34 pm #552455Hey!
I tested it on my own installation and it’s working as expected without any overlay. So I think some custom css code is causing this issue on your end. Try to remove all your custom css codes, to check which one could cause this issue.
Deactivate all plugins while testing, to make sure none is causing any conflicts.Best regards,
AndyDecember 14, 2015 at 5:53 pm #552512ok – but why would custom css be causing problems only on my end? Not sure I understand, but I will do some testing.
also: On the front page the video background starts with a flicker of a screen shot from the video before it loads – is there a way to avoid that and have it start from black?
thanks

December 15, 2015 at 12:30 pm #552952Hi!
not sure which kind of flickering you are talking about, but maybe there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/
Best regards,
AndyDecember 15, 2015 at 6:33 pm #553205did that but I it didn’t change anything.
?December 16, 2015 at 12:19 pm #553601Hey!
still no idea which kind of flickering you are talking about. Can you show us what’s going on for you please?
Regards,
AndyDecember 16, 2015 at 1:57 pm #553655The main issue is I am still seeing a grayish overlay on the background video on the page – on whatever browser I use. You said you are not seeing the overlay, right? It should look the same as the video on this page:
(The flickering is another issue I don’t care about too much right now. I think it’s a loading problem from YouTube – I get a flicker of the static screen shot image before the video loads, on the top of this page: )
thanks for taking a look again

December 16, 2015 at 2:03 pm #553660Hi!
I still can’t see any flickering on your homepage’s video. But lets stick to one topic only here please and open another ticket for a different question. So back to your gray overlay issue:
Did you remove all your custom css?
Cheers!
AndyDecember 16, 2015 at 5:40 pm #553886I removed the css and yes, that fixed it. I looked through the css and found the problem.
thanks! that was driving me crazy- This reply was modified 8 years, 11 months ago by Munford.
