    Hi,

    My uploaded zip file from Fontello containing the icons I wish to use on my site are displaying incorrectly as Chinese characters.

    Please advise why this is happening.

    Hello,

    I did the same,
    1) I loaded fonts from fontello with a selection from their site
    2) added theme to the theme
    3) used them in icon boxes etc.

    Then:
    same as above but also added one custom icon from an svg at which I uploaded to fontello
    I added some more to the previous selection from fontello
    I uploaded the new zip and deleted the old one in enfold iconfont manager

    Now when I go to a previous created page with icons in, I see the Font: entypo-fontello which was shipped with enfold and below I see the custom part Font: fontello

    The icons I had in this set in my first go appears correct, for the others in layout builder I only see chineses characters appearing.

    I did add the code from this post: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-cors/ to my htaccess but with no luck.

    Any idea?

    The page is not accessible from outside!

    I am having a similar problem as gsTom, though my fontello icons are either blank rectanges or look like arabic symbols. I’m trying to replace an existing fontello set so I can add some new ones. I can reproduce the same erroneous symbols if I look at demo.html in the zipped font folder on my local machine, if I unzip the file the fonts look as they should.

    Is there something going on with font upload/installation process so they don’t get properly unzipped?

    @darh Please create a new ticket and provide us the link to your site where we can see the issue and a temporary user with ‘administrator’ role and share in private content with permission to deactivate all plugins and add custom code if necessary to help you resolve this issue.

    Hello to all,

    I just found out that it could be related to add blockers!???

    When I posted the issue yesterday I worked on a different pc with a different adblocker than the one I’m using at my home machine. Here I use uBlock Origin and the fontello fonts are appearing correct within the same browser (chrome & firefox).

    However, this behaviour leads me to my next question: why I need a cross origin ressource for the fonts to work since I upload them to my server (enfold iconfont manager upload)?
    Do they just use the config.json and load the fonts from fontello or any other external ressource?
    So visitors of my site with an certain adblocker will not see the fonts correct?

    Workarround to host them on my own site will eliminate the cors problem?

    me again.

    now I’m on the other pc again and there it does not work even with adblocker disabled.
    I really wonder why I see the icons correct on one machine and not on the other one….?

    I just tried three different browsers, and got it to work in IE. Fails in Chrome (with adblockers, I didn’t try turning them off) and Firefox (no add ons). However I get garbage if I go back to Chrome or Firefox, both in the dashboard and the resultant pages.

    I’d noticed a bug on our site previously where the sole Fontello icon wasn’t appearing. My web host (WPEngine) enabled CORS today and now it is. I have two copies of the production site where CORS isn’t enabled, and where I tried the different browsers above, and it’s failing in these test beds.

    This used to work without CORS, I’m not sure when it broke, but I think it’s been broken a while.
