Well, the title pretty much says it all. We have a custom built plugin that works well, but when we turn it on, the masonry galleries don’t show. Now, that plugin is off, and the masonry galleries are still not showing. Example of a page where you can see this happening is in Private Content. Although that page has multiple galleries, the same issue is showing up on posts with only one gallery.
November 23, 2015 at 2:35 pm #540853Hey mikehartrich!
I am getting “Your access to this site has been limited” error :(
Can you please disable IP restriction temporarily so we can check out the issue?
Also, please make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme which is currently 3.4.4 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/Best regards,

Please do open for Greece also, so many of us can have access and help you faster :-)
Cheers!
BasilisNovember 24, 2015 at 10:03 pm #541961Ok, the site is now open to visitors from Greece. Let me know if you have any problems with viewing the site or logging in now.
I worked for 3 hours last night with our plugin developer. In the end he figure it out and fixed the issue with Enfold elements breaking when his plugin was installed. The issue was with poorly written javascript code that didn’t properly close and release a session so that other plugins can use it. In the time we were testing and debugging we some very buggy behavior, like Enfold elements not even playing nicely with each other.
Even though we have fixed the issue with the Enfold elements when we activate this one plugin, we still have issues on the site. 170+ pages that use the masonry gallery, are now being affected as well, possibly another plugin. Some thing the gallery is not displaying. I’m guessing it’s the same cause, the badly written code used by that Enfold element. Let me just stress, the problem is NOT with the other plugins. The problem is with Enfold elements. This problem basically cripples our ability to extend WordPress in the way that it’s designed to be extended, with plugins, no matter how well written those plugins are. Enfold basically forces us to use the Avia Layout Builder, or things as simple as Post Titles don’t work properly. But now having used the Avia Layout Builder, we see that there are at least a few elements that are not robust enough to handle other plugins without breaking badly.
On themecheck.org Enfold scores a 0% – F. With lots and lots of errors and warnings. I suspect some of these errors and warnings are pointing out the poorly coded javascript that was causing problems for us. The problems seem to be in the Avia Layout Builder and it’s elements. The two media elements Full Width Slider, Masonry Gallery, and the content element Icon Lists (the icon disappears). We don’t use many of the media elements other than these two, so there could be issues in other elements too, but those are the ones I can tell you for sure were affected by this javascript issue.
I hope all this information gives you a good starting place to start looking, and I sincerely hope you choose to fix the issues with Enfold to allow it to reach it’s potential instead of causing headaches and preventing sites from extending their functionality with plugins.
November 24, 2015 at 11:14 pm #542032We have fixed this issue for now. But I have seen for the support threads that this issue has affected other people too. I hope that you will fix the code issues in Enfold to keep it from happening in the future. Because until it’s fixed it will keep cropping up. I suspect most people who experience it think that it is a plugin issue, but it’s not. The problem is caused by, and affects Enfold elements.
November 25, 2015 at 8:35 am #542197Hi,
Could you point out the flawed code to us please? We would like to fix this issue as soon as possible.

RikardOctober 26, 2016 at 7:48 pm #704499Hi Rikard,
Ah, good catch I’ll do that. Quick question. I use your theme a lot – so I’ve purchased and downloaded several by now and look forward to going forward!Where is the API code found in the zip file so I can be sure to update/sync my clients wordpress site with the right file? And make updating the theme easier going forward?
Thanks!
Jessica
October 26, 2016 at 8:04 pm #704504Hi Rikard,
I’ve synced my theme (API/name now in WordPress) I checked the theme and it’s 3.7 version. Says I have the current version and no updates available. Does this just take a while or am I missing something? I did notice Events Calendar plugin update was new so I clicked on that.Jessica
October 27, 2016 at 8:20 am #704709Hi Jessica,
If you don’t see the 3.8 update on the backend then please try using this plugin in order to clear WordPress transients: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/. If that shouldn’t work either then please try updating manually: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
RikardNovember 2, 2016 at 7:33 pm #707313Somehow it’s working! It must have just taken some time.
Cheers,
