Hello there,
I have used the Avia layout builder to create a layout using “Content Elements” >> “Masonry” using “Category” entries to populate the masonry grid with blog posts from chosen categories.
I have set the ‘Post Number’ to 50, 4 columns wide, yet only 1 post displays in the grid layout? There is definitely more posts in the categories I’ve selected to show.
Strangely I have exactly the same setup on a different page and the category post masonry grid is displaying as it should – with a sortable selection of category names that I’ve chosen in the pick list after choosing the “sortable” option to be “Yes, display sort options and currently active taxonomy”.
I have cleared cache, turned off all plugins and deleted all quick css. I have latest version of Enfold and WP core.
Please refer to pages of note in private content field below for example page showing the issue.

This will require some debugging, can you please create us a temporary FTP / SFTP account? post it here as a private reply.

December 5, 2015 at 6:23 am #547342Hi!
Did you modify the masonry script? The masonry items are wrapped inside a bold tag. Example:
<b><b>masonry-item-loaded" MORE MASONRY MARKUP HERE</b></b>
Cheers!
IsmaelDecember 5, 2015 at 6:32 am #547348Hey there – no – I never modify the script. I do have some quick css but nothing modified in the theme files.
December 6, 2015 at 2:02 am #547517Have set up staging site and No plugins activated. No quick Css. No modifcations. Have just overwritten theme with fresh download.
Issue still persists.
Common denominator seem to be:
IF the sorting categories I have chosen to show have child-categories attached, they will NOT show the entries.
If the sorting categories chosen have NO child-categories all show.
Please refer to staging site links in private content area.
Help :)
December 9, 2015 at 3:33 am #549402CASE CLOSED :)
Ismael – thank you for directing me to the code issue. After looking a little closer and isolating the posts that were causing the issue I noticed there was no closing <b> tag in text added in these post’s excerpt field on each of these.
Thanks for looking into it. Fix sorted. YAY!!!!
Cheers – Catie
