There is a bug when creating form element – select menu.
There is an info note: If you want to use a coma in the option text you can escape it with \,This works, but after editing the form again (just the form, not even the element), the slashes are gone, so you have to re-enter them, because commas are interpreted as seperator.
November 20, 2015 at 2:04 pm #539566Hi Edgars!
when editing contact form element I can’t find such note. So what do you mean exactly? where can we see what you are talking about?

AndyNovember 20, 2015 at 2:10 pm #539578Create a new contact form using Avia Layout Builder -> Add Form element and click to edit, after that choose that the element will be “Select element” and in the right there is written:
Form Element Options
Enter any number of options that the visitor can choose from. Separate these Options with a comma.
Example: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3
Note: If you want to use a coma in the option text you can escape it with \,For example I have two select options, one is Paypal, the other one is VISA\, Master Card
If you do as it is said – it works, but after save, when you want to edit the form again (not even the exact element), slashes are gone, so now I will have three options Paypal, VISA and Master Card as seperate and it is damn annoying to add those slashes everytime I edit ANY element or info about the form. This should get fixed.

you are using a very old version of the theme. Please upgrade to Enfold v3.4.4 and let us know if you still need help afterwards.
Cheers!
AndyNovember 25, 2015 at 12:51 pm #542335But of course the problem still exists even after the update and now it brings even more problems. How do you think – where the bug will disappear if it has not been discovered previously?
Now there comes out next problem: after the theme update: no contact form emails are coming – no incoming and no auto-response emails. I use Mandrill as email gateway and before everything worked perfect. Also i tried password reset, and email was sent so this IS theme related.
What should i change?
And please respond faster, I am very disappointed with this situation and your solution.
November 25, 2015 at 1:35 pm #542397Hi!
how can you know if the bug has not been discovered previously by Kriesi? there were lots of bug fixes and improvements for Enfold v3.4, so it’s just obvious that I suggest to you to update if you are using a very old version of the theme, don’t you think?
Open a different ticket for a new question please. By the way: Enfold is just using standard WordPress contact form for sending emails.
Are we allowed to deactivate all your plugins for testing purposes?
If you are in a hurry and if you have time sensitive projects, then feel free to hire a freelance developer for this job.
Cheers!
AndyFebruary 28, 2017 at 7:59 pm #753187ummm I’m using version 3.8.5 and still experiencing this problem when trying to add numbers to contact form (ex: $2,500 – $5,000). tried “escaping it” as noted in the builder and only a couple showing correctly… any ideas??
February 28, 2017 at 9:22 pm #753234Hi!
I tried that and it is a bug from our side.
We will do report to Kriesi, although I guess it is protected for Security reasons.@Edgars for your emails not going out, it is not related to Enfold at all
It is server related and has to be controlled from our theme at allCheers!
BasilisFebruary 28, 2017 at 9:41 pm #753255Jesus christ, I reported this 2 years ago about this quote bug but nobody cared.
March 1, 2017 at 7:20 pm #753894hahaha yeah, pretty surprising how they responded to you / that nothing has been done to fix it in all that time!
