    A few days ago one of the pages on our website stopped working properly in the Edit mode. Once the Editor is started, it just loads and loads (the load icon keeps displaying) but nothing happens. This certain page contains only Accordion.

    I already tried cleaning my cache, using another browser etc. but nothing works.

    I noticed that a similar problem has already been reported last year (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/editor-wont-load-buttons-unresponsive-cant-do-anything/), without any real satisfactory solution. Has there been any progress on this?

    Hey trojina!

    It’s only a certain page this happens on? Hmm, it looks like you have quite a bit of content on that page.

    Try turning on WordPress debugging and check your server error logs for any useful information.

    Send us a WordPress login and we’ll take a closer look.

    Be sure to deactivate all plugins while testing.

    Best regards,
    Elliott

    Hi

    I tried restoring to the version when it still worked, but now no content is displayed on the website (even though Revisions show the content should be there.

    Here is the Debug report:
    Request:

    action/member-info/researchers-by-membership

    Query String:

    pagename=action%2Fmember-info%2Fresearchers-by-membership

    Matched Rewrite Rule:

    (.?.+?)(/[0-9]+)?/?$

    Matched Rewrite Query:

    pagename=action%2Fmember-info%2Fresearchers-by-membership&page=

    And Object Cache:
    Request:

    action/member-info/researchers-by-membership

    Query String:

    pagename=action%2Fmember-info%2Fresearchers-by-membership

    Matched Rewrite Rule:

    (.?.+?)(/[0-9]+)?/?$

    Matched Rewrite Query:

    Hi!

    Seems the server is having a hard time when loading that page, try increasing the PHP memory limit to at least 256M:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

    Cheers!

    This seemed to have worked, although I had to create and use a duplicate of the problematic page.

    While on the subject, what would be a more efficient way of having a list of people that belong to different Working groups etc. Ideally, one would still have the option of using filters such as Country, Working Group, Researcher Status, or search by name or other keywork. Does Enfold offer such a functionality?

    Hello!

    Hm, no, not built-in, it may be possible but it would require a some custom work, unfortunately that’s beyond our support scope. You can request a customisation quote from a third-party provider here.

    After repairing this issue, maybe a day or so later when working on another page, this problem (reported by others) occurred: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/insert-image-media-library-not-loading/.

    I see some solutions include removing Enfold and installing it again – will I lose any of the data if I do this?

    Also, is this in any way connected? Since the memory was increased to 256, I keep getting this message when in WP Admin:
    Notice: Constant WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT already defined in /vol1/sites/www.elexicography.eu/htdocs/wp-config.php on line 92.

    Hi,

    No you won’t but before doing that, can you please check if the issue persists with the default WordPress theme activated?

    Hi,

    Nope, TwentyFourteen not working either.

    The only thing I haven’t tried yet is updating to WordPress 4.3.1 – still waiting for our server admin to do that. But if that fails, what’s the next step?

    I’d ask the server admins for any error logs found in the server, also check if you have not reached your size quota.

    Best regards,
    Josue

    They are telling me there is not limit on the size, and that no errors were reported.

    Hm, as the issue is not related to the theme i don’t know what could be the culprit to be honest, hope updating WordPress fixes the issue for you.

    OK, it’s working now – even without the WordPress upgrade. I did the following: deactivated all the plugins (in fact, only one was active: Quick Page/Post Redirect plugin), changed the theme to TwentyFourteen (at that point, Media Library still didn’t work), and then switched back to Enfold. Then I went to Media Library directly and opened one image, closed it (just for a test), and when I went to open the Media Library on the Frontpage, it worked!

    Thank you for all the advice. I hope the issue won’t happen again.

    And another update. It seems the server team has worked on this at the same time, so their fix might have solved it (and not my procedure) – they have changed the debug level settings.

    Glad to hear that :)
