Custom OrderBy Code not working in Blog Posts Element

I added the code from your PHP Snippets article: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-add-an-orderorderby-option-to-the-blogpost-sliderportfoliomasonry-grid-element/ so that I could sort the blog posts (using the blog posts element in the Avia Layout Editor). The display order of the posts do not change no matter what I choose for the order by. Here is the page: http://clcstaging.com/about/our-staff/. The blog posts I’m trying to sort are in the “Leadership Staff” section. I will provide you with login credentials in the private area, so that you can review the code I added to functions.php (I copied and pasted from the above mentioned article) and also view the settings in the blog posts element in the Staff page.

Please advise on how to get the order by to work. Thanks!
