    Hi,

    The update feature hasn’t been working for long, and I always have to update via FTP.

    If I go to the admin section on the update tab, it says “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.3.1)”. This is confirmed if I click on “Check manually”. No track of 3.4!

    What should I do?

    Perhaps the information you input has a typo or there is an issue with your server. Try updating via FTP, http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/update-theme-files-with-ftp/.

    I’m perfectly sure it would work by FTP, but it’s much less convenient.

    Let’s come back to the simpler way if you will.

    I’m not sure what you suggest about a potential type problem. My user name and API seem to be OK, and I don’t get any error message. What could be this issue with my server?

    Besides, the most surprising thing is the fact that the theme itself can’t see the update, don’t you think?

    Hey!

    Not really sure what could be causing that. We’ve only seen a few inquiries regarding this issue and they all seem to be related to the server configuration. Is the site being hosted on a IIS 7 windows server? Maybe, your hosting provider can help with the issue. Also, have you tried regenerating a new API key? If not, please regenerate the API key then try to update the theme on a different browser.

    Hi Ismael,

    No, the site is not hosted on IIS7. They use Linux, and I guess Apache as a Web server.

    I’ve also tried to issue a new API key, but it didn’t change a thing.

    Hi,

    That should be the one to clear or delete yes, but some other users had problems with that particular plugin yesterday and the following one worked for them: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/. You might want to try it first since we’re pretty sure it does the job properly.

    Hi!

    I can see that you also using wp rocket inside the system.
    Can I suggest to first disable all plugins and after try to clean?
    That might solve the issue for you.

    there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/

    Hi Andy,

    The link explains how to do a fresh install. So just be sure, you suggest to delete the current Enfold folder, then ftp upload the latest version, right?

    If yes, I’m pretty sure this is what I did last time, since the auto update didn’t work. So if there is a corrupted file, it isn’t probably located in the Enfold folder. What do you think?
