Is it able to change the title format? Currently, it is “sitename | pagename”. And I found that for homepage, the title will become “sitename | tagline”. I don’t have tagline for my website and it show “sitename | ” as the title for my homepage. How can I remove the “|” for the homepage? And can I change “|” to another character for other pages? How can I do this changes on child theme?

You can use the “avf_title_tag” filter or install the Yoast SEO plugin to override the theme’s html title settings: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/
