    Good afternoon

    Our contact form has stopped working – we do not get the emails and the correct message is not displayed after pressing the button. I have no idea how long it has been like this, but we need to fix it ASAP as we might be losing business.

    Hello.

    I didn’t get your test email. The link talks about Contact Form 7 – I am using the one built into the Enfold theme (added via Avia Layout Builder). Given that it has been working fine for months, I do not think it is any of the set-up things you include in your link (plugins, SMTP) etc.

    How can I resolve this?

    It feels like the code might be wrong? When you click submit, it does not appear the sent message. Perhaps your theme has something wrong with it?

    Hey!

    Your not getting any javascript errors. Problems with emails not arriving are usually caused by the server. Please read each step in the link I provided carefully and let us know the results.

    Hi!

    Navigate to Dashboard > Appearance > Editor and you can find the template files of the theme there. Click on the functions.php link to open up the functions.php template and edit it.

    Perhaps I am in the wrong place. When I got to Dashboard, the sub-menus are Home and Updates – no Appearance. When I go to Appearance, the sub-menus are Theme, Customise, Widgets and Menu – no Editor. Am I looking in the wrong place?

    By the way, Contact Form 7 works so it is not the server.

    Thank you Elliot – we are just using Contact Form 7 now. Unless you believe that the inbuilt version is superior and I should spend time getting it working?

    You can use contact form 7 plugin. It is more advanced than built-in contact form :)
