Greetings from the US.
First, let me applaud your great work in creating Enfold. So intuitive and versatile — just a really great theme. Congrats.
I’m trying to animate the introduction of the logo and new tagline on my site. First, I considered using a simple layer slider to function as a type of splash page that concluded on the current homepage image. Two problems with that: can’t place anything above the transparent header layer and my current homepage, which I’d like to keep, is an image with hotspots. Seeing how those we pretty big challenges and not wanting add another plug-in, I decided to just replace my static logo with an animated GIF in theme options. I’m not super thrilled with the quality of GIF animations, but maybe I could get it dialed-in to something acceptable. During my testing, I quickly realized that the problem with this approach was going to be dealing with the browser cache of the image. I only want it to run once for each load, but once it runs the first time it’s loaded as the final frame no matter how many separate site visits or reloads. I’m getting this same behavior across multiple browsers. Maybe this is outside your scope, but can you give me a snippet of code instructing the browser to suspend saving only the logo fields? The splash page option probably requires the help of a developer, but any ideas you have are welcome.
Thank you.

October 12, 2015 at 6:56 am #517117Hi,
I’m not exactly sure I understand what you mean, are you trying to animate the default logo and the tagline beside it? If so, what animation are you looking to apply to it?
Thanks,
RikardOctober 15, 2015 at 2:27 pm #519324Yes, animating the logo and the tagline by using an animated GIF was what I was settling for since I’m not able to construct a full-screen animation using a layer slider and an image with hotspots together. I don’t much care for the quality of transparent GIFs, so I considered rendering it as video or maybe .fla, but I’m up for anything that will work for all visitors, really. I’ll attach a link to a page where I’ve published the working file. It’s rough, but functions fine. You can download it if you want to test it in the normal and transparency logo fields of your own demo. I think you’ll find it behaves as I described before. I want it to run every time the Homepage is loaded or even every time the header is loaded, but there may be no difference. The only way I can see to make this happen is to somehow prevent the browser from storing it in cache memory. Other ideas?
October 16, 2015 at 2:21 pm #519993Hey!
as you already suggested it is out of our support scope and we can’t help you with this kind of special function. You need to search a plugin for it or hire a freelance developer for this job.
Best regards,
