i tested it on many pages – it seem to accelerate the site indeed but i think the most influence comes from setting up deflate and expires rules.
In former times i used to set up my own rules in htaccess . And now i tested it on several sites i installed. The speed on manual setup the deflate and expires rules in htaccess and the speed on caching tools are nearly identical.
The disadvantages of caching tools are sometimes not negligible.
A good thing might be to shorten css and js rules – but sometimes f.e. bwpminify does not work propperly with enfold.
sometimes it works good if layerslider javascripts are excluded.

(i tested this with google pagespeed or pingdom tools etc. pp)

are there new tools to rise up the pagespeed and worked well with Enfold ?

    Hi Guenter!

Minifying the CSS and JS and caching your content are very good ways to speed up a WordPress site. Also make sure your images are optimized for the web. Other than that it depends on your internet speed and the server speed.

    Best regards,
    Elliott
