    Hi!

when I add a Fullwidth Masonry image gallery in the bottom of a page that uses a sidebar, all the items in the sidebar disappear, leaving it blank. I know that I can put the gallery in a 1/1 column to keep it from using the full width of the page, but I though that with enough content in the page the sidebar content could display as well.

    Hey dalanglois!

Whenever you use a fullwidth element the sidebar will always display at the bottom of the page beneath all of the other fullwidth elements. You can simulate a sidebar by using the “Widget Area” element though.

    Cheers!

Hi Elliott, thanks for your answer

But the Easy Slider fullwidth element works perfectly, as you can see at the beginning of the content area. With only that full-width element (no full-width masonry image gallery), the sidebar is working as it should.

The masonry image gallery element triggers an empty div just before the #footer div and there’s no <aside> tag to put the sidebar in, and no sidebar content in the code neither. This sidebar comes partly from the theme’s setting (navigation links) and a search form that I set in the widget area, so no workaround possible for now.

Just to be sure that’s the way you guys meant it to be and not that it’s not a bug.

    Hey!

Yes, it’s how it’s supposed to be. For example, the content in between the two fullwidth elements, should the sidebar display there or at the bottom? Should it split it’s widgets up to display on top or on bottom? There are just too many variables to consider which is why we have it display at bottom at all times and added the Widget Area element to compensate.

    Best regards,
    Elliott

Thank you Elliott for your answer, I’ll use that for sure!
