Hi
I have imported some extra icons from Fontello (a zip created on Fontello’s website).
However, if I want to add more icons at a later date, I thought I would just have to export a new zip with the new icons in, and import it into Enfold.
However, this OVERWRITES the previously imported icons rather than APENDING them.
Also, Fontello’s website doesnt have a fixed name per icon (eg UE800) so when you import an additional list of icons, they dont display as expected.
Eg if the first time I export the icons from Fontello, the tick is UE800 and I use it in an icon list, but I then upload a seconds zip where the tick might be called UE850, I have to go through everywhere on the site where UE800 is used and change it to UE 850 before the tick will display.
This seems strange.
October 2, 2015 at 12:07 pm #512705Hey richardelectrix!
Please see – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/adding-your-own-icon-fonts/ and please make sure that you are naming your icon set differently.

YigitOctober 2, 2015 at 12:26 pm #512717Hi
I have followed the instructions on the video.
The main problem that I have is if you want to add ADDITIONAL icons, when you import the NEW zip file from Fontello it overwrites the previous zip that you have imported. This seems strange behaviour.
October 2, 2015 at 12:34 pm #512727Hey!
That should not be a problem if you give your icon sets different names. Have you tried naming them differently?

October 3, 2015 at 8:07 am #513104Hey!
This is actually a small bug in the font icon loader. If you upload icon fonts in the same font icon family (fontello, entypo etc), it will override the whole set. Try to upload all icons fonts that you want in one go.EDIT: Add a unique name for each icon set in the field beside red “Download webfont” button. (http://fontello.com/)
Cheers!
IsmaelOctober 3, 2015 at 12:16 pm #513133Is there no way I can just use the full Font Awesome icon set using the proper Font Awesome codes as they are fixed which makes much more sense.
October 5, 2015 at 5:22 am #513466Hi!
I’m sorry, unfortunately, that’s not possible. You will have to install the font manually. Please visit their documentation page. Applying a unique name for each zip file will prevent the font icons from overriding the previous set.

IsmaelOctober 5, 2015 at 7:54 am #513515Fontello creates a unique zip name for every file it exports but they still get overwritten.
October 6, 2015 at 10:27 am #514259Hi!
Are you sure? I uploaded the same set of fonts but with a different font name and the first set was not overwritten. Please post the login details here. We’ll test the icon upload manager.

It definitely happened. The xip folder had a different font name and the fonts within the folder had different ue names.
I have uploaded loads of fonts now so I would prefer not to mess with them further.
October 7, 2015 at 5:18 am #514902Hi!
I’m sorry but I’m not talking about the ZIP folder.
EDIT: Add a unique name for each icon set in the field beside the red “Download webfont” button. (http://fontello.com/)
Please check this screenshot:

Yes I did that as well and it still overwrote the originals that I had uploaded.

OK. Please post the login details here, we would like to test it.

IsmaelOctober 9, 2015 at 9:34 am #516260Hi
I will need your IP address to send to our host so they can grant you access.
October 10, 2015 at 12:05 pm #516766Hi!
I’m sorry but we don’t usually hand any information like that. Is there any way we can access the site without our ip address?
Cheers!
IsmaelOctober 10, 2015 at 2:09 pm #516797Unfortunately there isn’t.
October 12, 2015 at 11:30 am #517266Hi!
That’s too bad. Are you sure it’s not working? I actually tested it again and it works fine. I uploaded the same set of icon but with a different name and it didn’t override the first one. I have two similar icons sitting in the icon selection area.
