Hi there,
From one of my clients I learned that when they share a message on facebook, the wrong images is being used. I checked that and found out that when you click the share facebook button, the image of the post is shown correctly, but as soon as you publish the message on facebook, another image inside the database of the website is being published.
You can see the tested message at http://neonails.nl/gratis-ontspanningsmassage/.
You can see a print screen of the published message on facebook at http://neonails.nl/facebook_share_uses_wrong_image.jpg.
I did a few random tests on some other websites I have made for other clients and they all show the same problem. One message published no image at all as where the preview showed the correct image.
Following your suggestion in another topic, I tested them also with the debug tool of facebook (https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/). There all the correct images were shown.
Please advise.
Thanks & regards,
Monique
Hey Monique,
Please try running the URL through the Facebook debug tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
Edit: Sorry I didn’t see that you tried it already, I take it it didn’t work? Please try to disable any caching plugin if it didn’t work.
Thanks,
Rikard
Hey Rikard,
Indeed, that didn’t work. The fb debug tool shows the correct information and images.
I am not using a caching plugin on this website (nor the others).
Regards,
Monique
Hi!
what happens if you activate a default WordPress theme? have you got the same result there?

Andy
Hi guys,
A long outstanding topic… My client just informed me she is going to stop her business, so can you please flag this topic as solved?
Thanks & regards,
