(Developing the site locally so I can’t provide a link).
I’m trying to get a youtube video to open in a lightbox. It’s not working and simply redirects to the youtube website to play the video.
I’ve tried using an image placeholder rather than video, and setting the link manually to the youtube video, still redirects to youtube — no lightbox.
Tried adding ?iframe=true to the youtube url, but that just opens a blank box on the page and the video doesn’t load.
I’m using a youtube url similar to this: https://youtu.be/YE7VzlLtp-4 (the url provided when you click “share” on youtube.
Tried with Safari and Firefox, both the same issue — so it doesn’t seem to be a browser related issue.
I’m stuck.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Paul!
All you should have to do is add the youtube URL to the link and it should open up in a popup. Perhaps you have some javascript errors on the page, try deactivating all of your plugins to see what happens.
Make sure your using the latest version of Enfold, 3.3.2.

Elliott
No plugins at all are activated and it’s still doing it. I had only added one plugin (reftagger), but deactivated it, and all others… Tried inserting an image, manual link to youtube url, it still opens the youtube page — no video lightbox.
Latest Enfold edition, as you mentioned. Two different browsers as stated.
I’m using the Church demo setup, in case that matters.
Found the solution: Need to paste the full URL on youtube from the browser window, not the Youtube “share” url.
