    Hi

    I need to redirect pages like redme.html to 404. I have a list of pages i need to redirect and have tried a copuple plugins with no succes.
    How can i do this more effectively? is there a plugin you recomend?

    Hey claraelisa!

    This one seems to be the most popular, https://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/.

    Besides that you could add your redirects into the .htaccess file manually but I would use a plugin for this.

    Hi

    I used that plugin already but is not redirecting…Htacces is a little too complex and i need to block acces to
    /readme.html
    /license.txt
    /robots.txt
    /xmlrpc.php

    Hi!

    What happens in the default theme? Try deactivating all of your other plugins and make sure your .htaccess file is writable.
