We can’t get Yoast SEO (version 2.3.5) with the most recent version of Enfold (3.3.2). We just did a clean install of the theme and no luck. The main problem seems to be with pages that have the color section element (which is almost every page on our site since we used that for a header layout element). When Yoast SEO is activated, the layout of the pages that have that element get completely screwed up (color section bleeds down into other page elements and sidebar gets pushed to very bottom of page).
I have the plugin off now. Our site is http://www.bos.com
Please help!
September 17, 2015 at 4:46 pm #504978Hi shirtandsimple!
login details do not work for me. Please check and let us know. Try to deactivate all other plugins to check if one is causing this issue. Make sure to use newest theme, plugin and WordPress versions.
Cheers!
AndySeptember 17, 2015 at 5:35 pm #505032Sorry Andy – I had forgot to save the user. It should work now. I know it’s the SEO plugin because when I deactivate it (like it is now), the site works well. When I activate Yoast SEO, the problem persists.
I have newest versions of everything.
September 18, 2015 at 4:28 pm #505650Hi Andy,
Any update here? Our site went live yesterday and we really want to make sure google can index it. Fear that we are missing our opportunity to retain our legacy SEO with each moment we don’t have Yoast turned on. Please help!
September 19, 2015 at 5:57 am #505852Hi,
Are we allowed to activate the plugin for testing? I didn’t want to touch anything since you say it breaks the site. Could you try to deactivate all plugins and then activate Yoast to see if there’s a conflict with one of the other plugins you are using? The theme is compatible with Yoast and should not cause any problems like you are describing.
Thanks,
RikardSeptember 19, 2015 at 5:59 am #505854Yes – you can activate for short period while testing… especially if you do it now (in evening CST) when traffic is low. Please let me know if you find anything.
September 21, 2015 at 5:54 am #506204Hi,
I activated the plugin but I couldn’t see anything breaking on the front page, could you try yourself to see if it works for you too? If not then please post screenshots of what is happening.
Thanks,
RikardSeptember 21, 2015 at 6:11 am #506212It’s definitely the yoast seo plugin and the color bar element. I’ve taken three screen grabs with the plugin on and then three more of the same pages with it off. Obviously the plugins that don’t look wrong are with the plugin deactivated.

September 24, 2015 at 5:28 am #508156Hi,
Thanks for that, working now. I did screenshots before and after and you’re right, some sections do get messed up, but I can’t see anything in the CSS that might be causing it, and as far as I know Yoast shouldn’t affect anything on the frontend. Did you try to activate it when you’ve had all the other plugins deactivated?
Thanks,
RikardSeptember 24, 2015 at 5:34 am #508157I just did – the problem was caused by running Enfold, Yoast SEO, and a plugin called WP-SpamShield – do you recommend another spam filter plugin that works with both Yoast SEO and your theme?
September 24, 2015 at 7:15 am #508185Hi!
Have you tried the sucury plugin at all?
Best regards,
BasilisSeptember 24, 2015 at 9:53 am #508234I have a similar problem with yoast seo it breaks the shop… If I add a product and then try to open it it gives me a 404 error page – the same is with product categories.
September 25, 2015 at 5:54 am #508768Hi @lesargini, please open a new thread for your problems and we’ll help you there. Threads like these tend to get very messy and hard to keep track of if we are helping multiple users at the same time.
@shirtandsimple, did you try Basilis suggestion and did you have any luck with it?Thanks,
Rikard -
