Hy,
I have a problem, my website needs over 60 sec. to load.
I don’t know if the host or the theme is the reason. If I start a speed test at pingdom.com (http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/d9Qq46/sme.ac.at) it starts really fast but gets extremly slow after some seconds. Especially the layerslider, avia.js and wp-mediaelement.js need nearly 1 minute to finish. Please can you help, or at least tell me where the bug is?
Thank you!September 9, 2015 at 5:34 pm #500614Hey MaxHimself!
It’s loading in 6.4 seconds for me. I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Make sure to optimize your images for the web before uploading.
The best way to speed up a WordPress site is to use a caching plugin. A plugin such as BWP minify, https://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/, will help with reducing the JS / CSS requests as well.
Cheers!

thank you for your quick respond.I still have no idea why the website is taking so long to load.
I’ve reinstalled the theme, optimized the pics and installed the minify plug in ( but 1 minify string can just contain 2 files, if I use more the slider isn’t working)I’ve tried it now in Chrome and Firefox and it’s working a bit better, but is still pretty slow.
And Safari still needs nearly a minute :/Do you know where the problem could be, or why does it work on your PC an not on mine?
Thank you!
September 11, 2015 at 8:22 am #501467Hey,
When trying your site here: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ it took over 1 minute to load so something is not right there. Try having a look at the breakdown graphs and see if you can figure something out. I would disable all plugins as well and test again afterwards.
Thanks,

problem solved it was the hostingproviders fault.
Now everything works great!
Anyway thank you for your support :) -
