Hi,
please have I look at http://www.beta.dagmars-bodyshop.com.
The facebook widget got cut off on the right side. Obviously the sidebar is to small. I tried to change the dimensions in the theme settings but the output remained unchanged.
What am I doing wrong?
best regards
AndreasSeptember 5, 2015 at 11:13 pm #498754Hey aneubaue!
Add this to your custom CSS.
#u_0_0 > div { max-width: 235px !important; }

We set the width to 100%. Please remove browser cache then reload the page: http://beta.dagmars-bodyshop.com/gutscheine/

IsmaelSeptember 8, 2015 at 2:39 pm #499886Hello Ismael,
I tried it on different computers and browsers – a few letters/words on the right side within the facebook box are still missing.
I would need this box as wide as your box here on this support page from Kriesi (actually I just realized, that within your box there are letters cut off on the right side as well but less than on mine). On your facebook box the letters “ss” from wordpress and “est” from Themeforest are missing…

Please go to Enfold > General Layout > Dimensions panel. Increase the Maximum Container width value then adjust the Content | Sidebar Ratio. Increase the portion of the sidebar.

IsmaelSeptember 9, 2015 at 9:59 am #500264Hello Ismael,
I increased the maximum container width from 1310 to 3000px, set the content/sidebar ratio to 50:50 and cleared the cache a few times.
No effect whatsoever. Are you able to change that? I transmitted the login data already

It looks like the likebox is now deprecated. Your supposed to use the new “page plugin” instead, https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin, which is now responsive.
You can try that, fill out all of the settings, and copy / paste the code they give you in a text widget. Or you could try this plugin out, https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-page-feed-graph-api/. We’ll get it switched over in the next update most likely.

ElliottSeptember 16, 2015 at 4:19 pm #504249Hi Elliott,
ok – when I fill this out I get 2 codes (one for the text widget and one for the JavaScript SDK).
Here is the code for JavaScript SDK:
<div id=”fb-root”></div>
<script>(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/de_DE/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.4”;
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));</script>So – where do I have to copy that on my page?

AndreasSeptember 16, 2015 at 4:31 pm #504266Hi!
You can add all of that to the text widget.
Regards,
ElliottSeptember 16, 2015 at 4:41 pm #504277Ok – I copied everything in that text widget. Result is still the same, the letters on the right side are cut off.
I think the problem is not the widget – the problem is, that I can not change the width of the sidebar. No matter which values I choose at the enfold theme settings content/sidebar ratio – this changes nothing at all on the website.

AndreasSeptember 16, 2015 at 4:49 pm #504281Hi!
When you grab the code from here, https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/page-plugin, set the width to 180 before you click the “get the code” button.
Cheers!
ElliottSeptember 16, 2015 at 5:21 pm #504309Hello,
I´m not sure, if you got the point.
When I set the width to 180 (which I did) before the get code button, I will receive an even smaller Facebook widget and even more of my text is cut off.
Please have a look at http://beta.dagmars-bodyshop.com/gutscheine/
to see what I mean.

AndreasSeptember 17, 2015 at 4:17 pm #504942Hey!
So increase the width a bit more. I set it to 320px which is wider than the sidebar currently is but you can see the new facebook code is displaying responsively now. If you want your long title to display all the way instead of the “…” at the end then you will have to increase your sidebar width in the theme settings.

ElliottSeptember 22, 2015 at 1:47 pm #507016Hi,
ok – just forget it. I have spent hours on that but I can not get it to display correctly. I can put in whatever values in all different fields on the facebook plugin page or at the theme settings – no change at all. It will not display the whole title of the webpage, instead a few letters are always cut off on the right side.
Does not matter, it´s not that important; thanks anyway.

AndreasSeptember 22, 2015 at 2:21 pm #507048Hey!
I think it should work when you adjust the width.
Let us know in a new ticket if you have some more questions related to the theme. We are happy to assist you.Regards,
AndyOctober 7, 2015 at 2:57 pm #515265As Elliott says, this is the solution: https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-page-feed-graph-api/
