Hi,
I used enfold to put together a pretty cool site. A couple of related problems now occur when dealing with different browsers.
1) In Safari, the elements on the front page are perfectly aligned – header wight and accordion slider same size, HOWEVER, the images in the slider have been cropped and the full image is not visible. The accordion element does not resize dynamically. Please see http://www.galiant.com/enfold/safari.png
2) In Firefox I have the reverse problem. While the images are not cropped, the entire accordion element is much larger and no longer aligned with the header. I would like the accordion slider to auto-size to header width. Please see http://www.galiant.com/enfold/firefox.png
3) Internet Explorer seems the biggest issue. Many IE users report that the images on the front page are so big that they only see half of the screen and dynamic scaling is not working at all.
4) Last but not least, on some pages I am using a using ‘section background’ & ‘section background overlay’. The overlay is set to 0.9 and works perfectly, however, in IE the overlay does not seem to work and people can no longer read the text as the background overlay does not seem to work. While the background image in Safari & Firefox is stretched to the edge of the page, in IE is seems to be aligned to header width. Please see http://www.galiant.com/enfold/browser.png
I need your help!

You can increase the Maximum Container width on Enfold > General Layout > Dimensions panel. It will in turn add more space for the slider.

I understand the max. container width, however, that does not solve the issue in Safari or IE. Also, it does not solve the issue that the container size varies and at time the logo is larger, other times the slider is larger.
Issue 3 and 4 still exist whereby IE show an image that is not scaling and the background overlay is not working either.

Is IE updated and compatibility view turned off? I didn’t see the issue on my end.

We are getting closer. The IE issue seems to be tracing back to older versions. I got the original complaint from numerous clients and it turned out that they all run XP and a specific IE flavour (their IT does not allow them to upgrade).
Now to the last open issue – Safari
Safari: The accordion is perfectly aligned with the header and footer, however, the accordion effect does not show the full image – see: http://www.galiant.com/enfold/safari.png
Firefox: The accordion is no longer aligned with the header of footer, however, the accordion effect does show the full image http://www.galiant.com/enfold/firefox.png

In Dashboard > Enfold > General Layout > Dimensions you have “1310” for the maximum container width value but it should be “1310px”. Firefox will auto correct the error but webkit browsers will not.
There is not much we can do for old IE versions however. They are just not compatible with modern standards.

You did it, thank you. I guess I could have stared at 1310 for ever and not noticed the missing px.
Works brilliantly
Best regards,
