    On the Layout -> Title Bar Settings in the page itself I selected “Hide both” yet the page title is being displayed…
    What am I missing here?

    Not sure why that is happening, please try the following in Quick CSS:

    .blog .title_container {
display:none !important;
}

    I am sure I can handle this myself with CSS (thanks for the code)
    can you confirm this is something in the current version ?

    Basically I just installed a fresh copy and created the main page and blog page following your tutorials…

    Hi!

    Please edit the actual blog page then look for Layout > Title Bar Settings. It is currently set to display the title and breadcrumbs.
