Strange things happening while trying to update the homepage. At first changes were saved. Then started getting a script timeout error, that if you hit ‘continue script’ would load the admin page for the homepage and you could make some changes. Then when you hit update, the changes weren’t saved and you get redirected to the posts page. I tried downloading the latest version of the theme and am running Enfold version 3.2.3.

Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

Still no joy. :(August 14, 2015 at 10:43 am #487641Hi,
Not sure what’s going on there, could you try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Regards,
RikardAugust 15, 2015 at 11:53 pm #488315I had already done that before contacting support. I’ve also tried deactivating all plugins, which provided no solution. I switched to the twentyfourteen theme and the content loaded so it’s definitely something to do with the enfold theme.
I will try again with a fresh copy of the enfold theme, but what would be be my next thing to try? Getting desperate as the client has important contracts riding on this.
August 16, 2015 at 3:45 am #488329I did a complete fresh install of the theme with no luck.
I am trying to rebuild the page and the more content I put on it, the longer it takes to update. Is there like a maximum amount of info allowed per page that it is hitting maybe?
August 17, 2015 at 12:14 pm #488825Hi!
did you delete all theme files before getting a fresh installation? maybe there are some corrupted files which won’t get overwritten when just installing a new version.
Best regards,
AndyAugust 19, 2015 at 12:27 am #489774Hi Andy,
Yes I did delete all the files through ftp. Seems to be timing out when I put more and more on the page. I’ve created a home2 page. Saves OK until about the point where I’ve got to now. It is being built with the same elements as the original home page.August 20, 2015 at 5:15 am #490530Hi,
I’m not sure what’s going on there since I’ve never seen it before, it looks like a server error or a file being corrupt. Deleting/overwriting the theme files would have fixed any corrupt files so that leaves a server issue, could you check with your hosting if they might have some insight on the topic? If not then I would suggest reinstalling WordPress as well.
Best regards,
Rikard -
