I installed the wpml plugin and added to my theme. I have 3 languages with English being the primary. However, when I select a different language from my menu, it takes me to an entirely different page which shows the default enfold settings, as if what i customized doesnt exist in the other languages.
How can i fix this?
Hey keyannam10!
please upgrade to Enfold v3.2.3.
Best regards,
Andy
I have updated.
Do we have to manually redesign and create each page with the translations? For example, if I am using Spanish, will i need to write out all the translations for each page? Or will this automatically translate once someone selects the language from a dropdown?
I’ve never created a multilingual site so im just trying to figure out how to do this.
Or is there a tutorial you have for implementing the wpml theme that I can follow? Im not sure if just duplicate the pages or do I have to do something else…
Hey!
Please refer to this guide create by WPML – https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/

Hi!
Yes, you have to manually translate the content or you can hire a professional to translate it for you: https://wpml.org/documentation/content-translation/
If you’re looking for an automatic translation, unfortunately, that is not available yet. https://wpml.org/faq/does-wpml-support-machine-translation/
Cheers!

Ok great. I have started to do that, however in the menu, there is a dropdown and a horizontal list of the languages. How can I just display a dropdown next to the menu?
Hi!
WPML support can help you further with that, as it is connected with the translation and the use of that plugin, and we are not offering support for third party plugins.
Feel free to contact them, they have an amazing support team, to work with you!
Cheers!
