    Hi there! I’m trying to extend the number of columns available in the avia layout editor without editing the Enfold theme. Is there a proper way to do this under a child theme?

    Currently I’m simply defining my column sizes under functions.php (As well as re/pre-defining a couple other classes needed to do this), but we’ve run into some issues in doing this where pages that use them will appear to save/update successfully, but never actually write to the database. There’s also some problems with the grid size display in the page editor view, and changing grid sizes.

    Has anyone done this before? What’s the recommended approach?

    Hi Kyle!

    First of all, thanks a lot for working with our product and achieving such results.
    It is nice to see people using it, in different ways.

    What you want to do is not easy, and it is actually changing the core logic.
    What you should do is to actually try search for all the fields that are connected, as you might be missing some while you are doing those changes.

    If you can not achive it, I could suggest our service providers for custom coding.
