    Hi!

    For some reason at the moment when I click “Visit Site” I indeed get to the website, but then I don’t see the ‘WP menu bar’ at the top. Earlier when I was on a specific Page on my website, I could click “Edit” at the top in this ‘WP menu bar’ to work on that page straight away. Now it seems I need to go back to the dashboard first by using /admin etc.
    Any ideas on how I can get the ‘menu bar’ back?

    Please go to Users > your profile > enable the Show Toolbar when viewing site.

    thanks, sounds like a fair solution, but I looked and it and it is already enabled… And the toolbar doesn’t show… anything else I can do please?

    Please give us admin access to the site, we would like to check it. Did you install any plugins? Please try to disable them then test it again.

    Hey!

    Create a new user under Users–>Add New. It doesn’t matter what username/password/email you set, all we need is the username and password, you can post the details here in the Private Content section of your reply.

    Hey Andy!

    The information needed can be seen in the pop-up you see. It mentions a username and some simple math that you’d need to do. I can’t provide you with those details, since they’re different each time.

    Hi Andy,

    I understand, but if you read the text in that box, it mentions the username and password that you need to type in :-)
    In this case the username is kav1f9 and the password is 33. These change everytime you try to login. So just read the text in the box, type the info in the fields and it should work :-)

    Could it be that the username is capital-sensitive? Try the username with the first letter in capital, the rest as is, please. I’ll put them in the Private Content bit again. Please let me know if it works :-)

    It’s still not working, we just copy/paste the details you post. I think it would be a good idea to create a new user and verify that you can log in with the details yourself, then post the details here.

    Thanks for trying again!
    I think there is a more general problem going on here… Recently I felt I needed to change my password very often because somehow logging in wouldn’t work, even though I was rather sure the password was correct. Yesterday I changed the password again, I know it by heart AND saved it in my 1Password app. Today I tried to login again, and I can’t get in.

    So it seems there’s something wrong with the login bit in general, not just with the login I made for you…

    I works if I reset the password for my own login, but then if I logout and want to login again, it won’t work. Very strange!

    Any ideas on what might be the problem here?

    Would you mind trying to login at http://www.veelzijdigevrouw.nl/wp-login.php (not wp-admin)? That seems to work for me, and hopefully it does for you too :-) It works both with my own login and the one I provided for you.

    Please let me know if it works, and if it does, please have a look at the menu bar issue this topic was originally started for :-)

    Hey,

    I got in even though I had to enter the .htaccess password twice. The edit panel doesn’t show up on my end either, could you try to deactivate all plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict?
