Hi
I have created a list of partnes with the portfolio post type. Some time ago I created all partners and now I need to change some details on each partner. When I update info and click save post I get a duplicate with no image in masonry view. Hover link says it’s a /463-autosave-v1 and /465-autosave-v1/ etc.

It seems that I need to delete the old post and create a new portfolio item to get rid of this. Is it a way to fix this without creating all posts again?
I have tried to deactivate all plugins.
Thanks!
Roger
July 1, 2015 at 12:29 pm #466924Hey lipstick!
not sure if I understand what you mean, but you are using an old version of the theme. Please upgrade to Enfold v3.2.2.
Let us know if you still need help after updating.

CheersApril 11, 2016 at 1:24 pm #611227Hey!
not 100% sure what’s the issue about. Can you explain further please? maybe screenshots would help to make things clear for us (imgur.com, dropbox). Please try to deactivate all plugins to check of one is causing this issue. Try with a default WordPress theme to check if you get the same result and let us know about your results.
Cheers!
AndyApril 11, 2016 at 4:26 pm #611426Hi Andy, thanks for your quick answer.
the screenshot : http://naturecos.org/novexpert/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2016/04/items.png
As you will see, there are 4 blocks in grey under the part “DES SOINS NATURELLEMENT EFFICACES” . They should not appear : these portfolio items doesn’t exist, they just are autosaves of the items “pro collagène”, “pro mélanine”,… you will see it in BO
i’ve tried to unactivate all plugins of that site + those on the network (it’s multisite install, so some of the plugins are activated by the network). No changes…
I can’t test with another theme because portfolio is a functionality of enfold…
i let you investigate ?
Sincerely.

LeoApril 13, 2016 at 6:48 pm #613095Hi!
there might be a conflict with a plugin or so. Try to deactivate all of them to check which one could cause this issue.

AndyApril 28, 2016 at 11:54 am #623620Hi,
It seems that I might have a solution to this! I see that there are several others who has the same problem. Once again I have ran into this problem on one of my sites. This time I have a site with a custom post type (using Types) that displays duplicate posts of autosave and revisions. There are only one post in backend, but it displays several duplicates.SOLUTION: I tried the plugin Better Delete Revision to delete all revisions from database. It worked. Both autosave and revisions are removed from the blog. PS: I updated both WP and plugins before using Better Delete Revisions. There might be other plugins available that are better than BDR (plugin not being updated for 1 year). Let me know what’s your favourite! Any recommendations?
I hope this can be useful!
All the best,

AndyApril 28, 2016 at 12:21 pm #623635Hi,
No problem! One more question:
How does Enfold take into account that there might be autosaves and somehow exclude these from the list?https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_is_post_autosave
Best regards,
RogerMay 2, 2016 at 8:00 am #625510Hi,
The masonry script is using a custom query based on post types and “autosaves” or revisions should be excluded by default. Still, I’m not sure why revisions and autosaves are included in the masonry query in your installation. It’s probably cause by a plugin or a custom modification because it’s not happening on our installations.

IsmaelMarch 30, 2017 at 3:06 pm #769504Hi again,
It has been some years, but now my client wants to update the site themselves (finally). That means that they want a better solution to this problem. They feel that it shouldn’t be necessary to use Better Delete Revision for each update.
Do anyone know how I can fix this? I have deleted all plugins that isn’t very important, but still… Is it possible to get some to take a look at the site?

AndyApril 5, 2017 at 9:13 am #772331Hi,
Sorry about that. I was working on the website myself yesterday and changed the password. Now it’s back to the details you have.

April 10, 2017 at 4:36 am #775232Hi,
It’s been a while. Where can we find the issue again? Please make sure that the site is using the latest version of the theme, 4.0.4.
Best regards,
IsmaelApril 18, 2017 at 1:12 pm #779257Hi,
Yes, I’ve not been working this Easter. I have updated the theme regularly and again this time. But this does not affect this problem. If you click Butikker backend and publish a post again a duplicate of this post without image will be visible in category view.
Best regards,
RogerApril 20, 2017 at 5:33 am #780288Hi!
I inspected the site yesterday but it stops loading after updating the “Bakeri Norð” post and deactivating the “Revision Control” plugin. Today, I updated the post again and it doesn’t create a revision like it did before. Could you please confirm if the plugin is causing the issue?
Regards,
IsmaelFebruary 2, 2018 at 12:24 am #906553@lipstick: thank you for the Better Delete Revision solution. That worked for me!
