I think I might be going a bit insane. Here’s what I’ve narrowed my problem down to:
1. I create a page with a right sidebar which contains the search widget.
2. I put a grid row element on the page using the advanced layout editor. The grid row is configured with 2 cells, 1/4 + 3/4
3. I put a team member element in the right most column of the grid row.
4. I duplicate the gridrow 8 times. (I don’t think 8 is significant…I think the trick is 3 or more)
5. I save and view the page…9 (the number seems to need to be 3 or more) “John Does” aligned correctly, the side bar correctly displayed.
6. I edit the page, change the first team member name to “XXXX YYYYY” and title to “Chief Executive Officer”
7. Save and view — the side bar is truncated grid row 3-9 are full screen and the search widget is at the bottom, seemingly in the footer.
8. If I go back in and remove the team member information (name and title) from grid row 1, save and view, the page is still broken
9. If I go in and delete all grid rows then I get the side bar back and can start rebuilding the page.
Hi Mike!
Thank you for using Enfold.
The grid row will always go full width and it will push the sidebar underneath, same with the color section element. So basically, if you want to have a sidebar in a page and you want it to go to its default place, don’t use these elements.
Cheers!
