Hello,
I am trying to optimize the pagespeed of my Enfoldpage. Unfortunately the Images are a very big problem as pagespeed insights indicates. I am using EWWW to solve this, but unfortunately Enfold doesn’t use the resized versions and/or doesn’t tell EWWW which sizes of the images it need. Since you are aiming for SEO-optimized theme this should be supported by Enfold as well. At least a lot user would be happy to solve all Image compression problems with a single plugin. I wrote the EWWW author regarding this issue, and he wrote this:“So first is the issue with the resizes. It would seem that even though your theme is generating various resizes for you, that the proper sizes are not specified in the various areas. It appears that you’re using the 495px image in just about every location (I didn’t dig too deep, but that’s what pagespeed is complaining about as well). Every theme is different, so I cannot say for sure how to best resolve that. You’re probably best off contacting the theme developer for assistance with using the right resizes for the various pages on your site.”
It is about the webpage http://www.camicama.com . Is there a way to fix this issue?
Regards

Wordpress is resizing by default every image you are uploading. You can control it using a plugin like this:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/Also have a look at this post: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-image-sizes/#post-336176
Hope this helps.

AndyJune 30, 2015 at 10:31 am #466278So basically I am going to check the sizes of the image at my homepage, insert a new row into the functions.php like this:
$avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘newsthumbnails_homepage’]= array(‘width’=>261, ‘height’=>211 );
And then regenerate the thumbnails using the WordPress Plugin “Regenerate Thumbnails” ?
