I installed the Church Demo to check out the way things were done and am loving the capabilities for Enfold. One I can’t figure out is the audio player in the featured image and on the preview. I know it is not magic, I think.
These are the steps I am taking:
Add new post > Format Audio > Add Media (it doesn’t mention audio though, I just add the link) > Categories Sermons > Set Featured Image
What am I not doing?
When I create the new post the audio player shows up below the featured image in the post and doesn’t appear in the preview either.
I have been all over Google and through the forums and can’t find anything that has helped.
Thank you for your efforts here and thank you for creating such great demos, they really help with ideas and keeping things fresh!!
June 12, 2015 at 2:35 pm #458352Hey Micheal0424!
you can use the default WordPress shortcode for adding audio:
[audio mp3="source.mp3" ogg="source.ogg" wav="source.wav"]
You can find more infos about that here.Regards,
AndyJune 12, 2015 at 4:04 pm #458441I am able to get the audio in the posts, I can’t get it to play the audio in the featured image on the preview or in the top of the posts like in the Church Demo.
In the demo when you select sermons you see the sermons and then are able to play the audio from the thumbnail:
http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-church/sermons/And then when you select a sermon the audio is in the featured image:
http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-church/2015/05/21/a-proper-perspective-on-thanksgiving/That is what I am missing, the audio I put in is in the content area at the top.
How do I get the audio to be in the thumbnail and in the featured image?
Thank you.
June 13, 2015 at 10:24 pm #458857Hey!
use this code:
#top .avia-content-slider .audio-preview { margin-top: -36px; }
This is the same as on the link you have provided.
Hope this helps. If not please provide a link to your website showing your player and featured image, so we can inspect your elements.Best regards,

See in the screenshot you provided how Test2 and Test1 don’t have the audio in them? I am trying to get them to work like the others but the audio won’t go in to the featured image in the thumbnail or in the post itself, like the others.
What am I missing to make this happen, I have been all over Google as well trying to figure it out, I have the test ones set up just like the demo posts and I am not getting the same result.
How do I get the audio to be in the thumbnail and on the featured image on the posts like the demo?
Thank you for all of your help.
June 19, 2015 at 9:12 am #461743Hi!
unfortunately I can’t open your website anymore and get a “Gateway Timeout: can’t connect to remote host” error. Could you please check?
Not sure why it’s working for four images but not for the other two … we need to check your backend.
Best regards,

I used the other posts that came with the demo as a guide, that is what I am so confused here.
I have gone back and checked my new post with the demo post and the settings are all the same.
Thanks.
June 22, 2015 at 12:02 pm #462620Hey!
I didn’t check it myself but I forgot to mention that you need to use the audio shortcode. Something like this:
[audio mp3="http://www.archive.org/download/Macroform2011/Macroform-600LightYears.mp3" preload="auto"][/audio]
Best regards,
IsmaelJune 22, 2015 at 2:12 pm #462782That worked, wow. I was about to give up.
Thank you.
I don’t see how that puts it in the featured image, but at this point I will just go with it.
Thanks again.

RikardJuly 10, 2015 at 3:29 am #471245Hi, I have a question concerning the blog archive pages. Some posts are shown full length and some are truncated and show “read more”. Where / how I can I adjust this behaviour and make it consistent.
I have seen the same behaviour in you demo page: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/blog-single-author-full/
The first two articles are truncated, the others are shown in full length.
Thanks for helping.July 10, 2015 at 9:21 am #471341My guess is that multiple elements are being used for the blog postings.
So if the first one is set to read more then it will only read more, while the second blog post element is set to show the full content.
Hopefully that makes sense.
To get it to be consistent just use one blog post element and have it set to your desired settings.
http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/have-a-different-single-page-blog-layout/
That link will tell you where to make your blog settings standard. You can do this from within the element as well.
If you are going to be working with posts a lot you might want to consider checking out this link as well:

Best of luck!!
