    Hello,

I made several websites with Enfold and it’s responsiveness works perfect. There is however one problem I can’t solve. For desktop I get decent speed, but for mobile the images size is too large, which makes it slow. (f.e. http://www.hollandvergelijkt.nl: pagespeed desktop 87, mobile 43). Is it possible to have responsive image size?

    Best regards,

    John Niemeijer

    Hey johnniemeijer!

Your slideshow has a few images around 150KB – 200KB. Are you saying you want to make it so the slideshow only displays on desktops and not mobiles?

    Best regards,
    Elliott

    Hi Elliot,

Thank you for your message. Actually, what I mean is that now the site is responsive I would also like to have responsive image sizes. So that if someone visits the site from a tablet or smartphone, that they get much smaller images, so that the site loads faster. Something like they promise at http://adaptive-images.com/.

    Would that be possible?

    Regards, John

    Hi!

Hmm, not sure if it would be feasible or not. Mobile devices have a very wide range of screen sizes so the amount of thumbnails that you would need to create would be fairly large. I’m not sure how it would display on retina screens either.

Regardless it would take a lot of time and code to add in so it would have to be considered custom work. You could hire a freelancer or create a feature request here, https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/, and if it gets enough interest we may see something get added in a future update.

    Best regards,
    Elliott
