    I am trying to link an outside website to my personal copyright at the bottom of the socket. I have disabled the Kriesi copyright and added my own. Now I want to link to another website.

    Yes but where? I tried in the footer.php. Not in theme options?

    Have you tried in Theme Options > Footer > Copyright?
