Can you tell me what determines the order that the previous and next links appear in the Avia Post NAV? The order of the links is always consistent, but seems very random to me. Can I set the links to order by post title within the current category somehow?

The Post Nav uses the get_previous_post and get_next_post functions which order Posts by post date.
Try using this plugin to change the order of these:
