    Hi,

I have two widget areas on my home page (one for a custom calendar widget, one for a “coming soon” listings widget). Following updating to Enfold 3.1.5 and WordPress 4.2.2, the content in both widget areas disappeared.

Having deleted them and re-inserted them, the first one (the custom calendar widget) is displaying, but the second one isn’t.

I read in a separate thread (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/version-3-0-4-with-wp-4-2-2/#post-444588) about widget areas requiring unique IDs. I am on Enfold 3.1.5 (albeit a child theme based on…) but we use that mainly to enable some custom templates.

Can you maybe shed any light on why the second is not displaying?

    My website is rsno.org.uk

    Many thanks,

    Cat

    Hey RSNO!

Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details here as a private reply.

    Hey!

There is no Widget in the Coming Soon widget area, that’s why it’s not displaying anything :)

    Cheers!

Doh! Would/Could either of the updates (the WordPress or the Theme) have deleted the widget from the widget area? Still not sure why it would have suddenly disappeared.

    Thanks,

    Cat

    Hey!

Starting from WordPress 4.2 widget areas require unique ID’s and Enfold 3.1.5 provides them. That unfortunately may reset your widget areas.
