Downloading update (link removed)
Unpacking the update…
An error occurred while updating Enfold: Could not create directory. Can you tell me what directory it’s trying to create? This is on a Windows server.
May 13, 2015 at 6:48 pm #443946Hi DJQuad!
Please try updating the theme via FTP – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
If that too does not help, please check file permissions – https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_PermissionsBest regards,
YigitMay 13, 2015 at 6:51 pm #443950That doesn’t include Windows. What directory is it trying to create?
May 13, 2015 at 6:59 pm #443956Hi!
If you are using WAMP, it should be in C:\wamp\www\your-instalation\wp-content\themes
Cheers!
YigitMay 13, 2015 at 7:59 pm #443973I’m asking you what directory it’s trying to create.
May 13, 2015 at 9:19 pm #443998Hey!
It is trying to create enfold folder inside wp-content/themes folder. Themes folder may not have correct permissions, which could be causing the issue. Please check the permissions of “themes” folder and make sure it is 755
Cheers!
YigitMay 15, 2015 at 7:46 pm #445122The permissions are right.
It’s trying to create folder:
C:/HostingSpaces/djquad/killshotservers.com/wwwroot/wp-content/upgrade/enfold.zipAWSAccessKeyIdAKIAJYG5ROGJ6X7Z3M6QExpires1431711127Signatureij0PpxmTywa6sS%2F%2Fd8B7aveRtio%3Dresponse-content-dispositionattachment%3B-filename%3Dthemeforest-4519990-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme-wordpress_theme
Which fails when it hits PHP’s mkdir function. Using a simpler folder name works.
http://killshotservers.com/test.phpMay 18, 2015 at 4:31 pm #445791Hi!
Were you be able to figure it out? Unfortunately, there is not much we can do without seeing the installation live on the server. If you happen to have the issue when moving your site to a live server, please post FTP access here privately also upload enfold.zip file somewhere on your server so we can install the theme for you.
Best regards,
YigitMay 19, 2015 at 10:53 pm #446755No. The install works fine so I guess my only option is FTP since your updater clearly doesn’t work on Windows.
