We just launched this site not too long ago and we have been unable to figure out why our main blog page (Articles) is blank unless we are logged in. Somehow all the main body content is missing but right side widgets are there. What’s even stranger is when not logged in the two widgets we are using, Recent Blog Posts and Blog Categories show up, but the Blog Categories shows “no categories” when not logged in but recent blog posts are all there. When logged in, we can see all the body content images (posts) and all the categories in the widget.
We have tried to diagnose everything and are stumped.

Have you tried de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps?
Cheers!

Yes, of course.
May 14, 2015 at 11:17 pm #444648Hi!
Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately so we can look into it?

I think you’ve probably transferred the site from somewhere, correct? Anyway, I clicked save on the widget and it’s showing your categories now.

Yes, the site was transferred from HostGator to Lightningbase.com (they did the transfer) but this is the only issue we seem to not be able to fix. Any suggestion is appreciated.
I still see “No Categories” on the http://www.atmdepot.com/articles/ page as well as in the footer on all pages. Resaving the widget seems to only work when you’re logged in.

I see categories in the sidebar as well as in the footer on my end: http://imgur.com/tIQ8edq. Could you try to empty your browser cache and reload a few times to see if that helps?

RikardMay 28, 2015 at 7:32 pm #451388Hi Rikard,
Your image shows that you are logged in. Please log out, that is where the trouble is. We can not see blog categories in side widget or footer when logged out (what the general public sees).
May 29, 2015 at 3:39 pm #451651Hi!
Sorry about that, my mistake. When editing a category there’s a feature called Protect this Category, I’m guessing it comes from a plugin? Anyway, when selecting no that category is displayed even when logged out. I tried with your first one called ADA.
Best regards,

Wow, thank you, I don’t know how the developers missed that. I thought that would be set to No by default and it was before we transferred the site. I have no idea how transferring the site would change that default. Thanks
