Hello Enfold Support,
I struggle with an update of Enfold. Actually I struggle also with setting the permalinks to “postname” in stead of Default. It appears It won’t work. So I have updated WordPress via ftp and followed by updating Enfold. Result is that I can work in the http://www.rentapriest.nl/wordpress file though the site will nog show up in the http://www.rentapriest.nl. I can’t find out how I can solve this issue.
Would be great If someone could help me out.
Kind regards,
Loes Klijberg

You have 2 WordPress installations, one in the root and one in /wordpress, which one do you want to work with? I’ve set the home and site URL variables for you in your wp-config.php in your /wordpress installation so at least you are seeing the correct site when viewing it now.
Cheers!
RikardMay 12, 2015 at 2:50 pm #443028Hi Rikard,
Thank you for your reply and the great work you did! I just could not get it right.
So what I usually did was that I worked in the /wordpress folder, but if people would like to see the site I prefered to have it like http://www.rentapriest.nl instead of the http://www.rentapriest.nl/wordpress. So I copied the files to the root. Perhaps not the right way to do this, but it worked. Do you have other suggestions?

Well the problem you had was that when you chose to view your /wordpress installation you were actually seeing the installation from the root, which is not ideal of course. My recommendation would be to work in just one of the installations and then export/import when you feel like applying your changes to the site you actually want people to see. Hope this makes sense :)

Thanks for the advise! Though, it seems not to work properly. After your message I have changed the permalinks settings to %postname% and it gives an Server Error 500. There is something with this wordpress installation and I can’t put the finger on it. Now I can’t login and put it back to default. What can it be? For example I can’t get a Sitemap from this installation. It also gives an error.
Looking forward helping me out once again.

Please contact your service provider. You need access to your database to fix the issue. This is what exactly you should do – http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database
We cannot help since we do not have an access :)Regards,

June 21, 2015 at 4:48 pm #462377Hi!
Do you still have the local development of the site? It’s kind of sensitive to change the link directly in the database. We might accidentally break something there. If you still have the development site, you can use this plugin in order to properly migrate the site from http://www.rentapriest.nl/wordpress to http://www.rentapriest.nl: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/

IsmaelJuly 29, 2015 at 3:56 pm #480312Hi Ismael, Hi guys
My apoligies for the late response due to my holiday. I still have copies of the site on a hard disk and I was wondering it would be easier to install a new WordPress on this domain, copy the files I have on a USB and perhaps that would sort out. Looking to the WordPress migrate DB could be a solution, but I already don’t have access to the http://www.rentapriest.nl/wordpress/wp-admin.
Looking forward to any advise or help.

July 31, 2015 at 9:23 am #481172Hey!
There is no problem with the files. They can be easily transferred whenever you want. The problem is with the database. Maybe, you can ask your hosting provider to fix it for you. You can ask them for the access on the dev site.

AndyAugust 7, 2015 at 12:09 pm #484479Hi guys,
I have contacted the Hosting company and they helped me out, so I do have access again to the http://www.rentapriest.nl/wordpress. Though the other issue is that I do not see the website in the http://www.rentapriest.nl as I did before. From my opinion the database it refers to the right domain. Could you have a look at it?
Looking forward hearing from you.

August 9, 2015 at 11:27 pm #484980Hi!
if you have any troubles with the theme we are happy to assist you, but this here seems out of our support scope as there seems to be something wrong with your database. If you still think it’s the theme, then try to delete all theme files via FTP and get a fresh copy from your themeforest account.
Best regards,
Andy -
