    Hello Enfold Support,

I would like to delete demo authors and their comments left over from my install. Google keeps searching for content that isnt there. Any advice?

    Hi!

Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details here as a private reply.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi!

You can delete user you don’t want any more by going to Users in WordPress backend, the same goes for the comments which are located under Comments.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

No I can’t, there are no check boxes in comments to delete the comment or the author. The authors referenced in comments are not listed under users
    Please advise, thanks

    Hi!

Hmm.. That’s weird. How did you add those comments anyway? You need to delete them directly in the database. Look for the prefixname_comments table.

    Cheers!

I didn’t add them, they were left over from initial install. There is nothing called a prefixname_comments table the comes up in a search of files. do you have .any other suggestions?
    thanks

    Hey!

Can you please try de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps?

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

Its been there since day 1 without any plugins installed and I have uninstalled all the plugins for other reasons and the problem was still there. I am 100% positive its not a plug in issue.

    Hey!

I can’t login and get error messages when trying:

Seems that Wordfence (plugin) is blocking me. By the way I can see other active plugins as well on your website. Are you using any caching plugin? if yes please go into it’s settings and switch off caching function, afterwards deactivate the whole caching plugin, then clear browser cache and refresh your browser a few times.

When deactivating all plugins does not help, you would need to delete all theme files and get a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Maybe there are some corrupted files on your installation.

    Hope this will help.

    Cheers!

    Hey!

Finally I can login into your site.

You are using lots of plugins. Does any plugin have a caching function? because if you just deactivate the plugin it will still keep caching. That is why I told you in my previous post to go into your caching settings and switch off caching, purge/clear caching afterwards and then deactivate the plugin. Did you do this?

However, I can’t find any comments left from another installation on your website. Could you provide us a link showing them? maybe screenshots (imgur.com, dropbox link) could help to show the problem.

    Cheers!
    Andy
