Hello, I have the Reading Settings configured in WordPress to “Summary” instead of Full Text. However, the theme is showing my blog post previews as “Full Text”. Is there something else that I need to configure to make the blog posts just show the first xx words in the summary (as opposed to showing the entire full text)? Please note that my blog posts were made using the default editor (not the advanced editor), so I’m assuming that the requirement of entering the “Read More” tag would only be for posts that use the advanced editor.

Please advise what needs to be changed to just show the first xx words of the post as the post summary.

    Thanks!

    Hi ACNLatitudes!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

Actually, if you built the post with the advance layout builder, you need to add the summary on the Excerpt box manually. For posts built on the default editor, you need to use the more tag in order to show excerpt in the blog overview page.

Or… set the Blog Style in the Enfold > Blog Layout to use the advance layout builder then edit the blog page. Add the blog posts element then set the Blog Content length to Excerpt With Read More link.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
